    "description": "<p><b>Position Purpose: </b></p>\r\n\r\n<p>The purpose of this position is to develop, implement, and direct faith formation programs for children (k-5), youth (6<sup>th</sup>-12<sup>th</sup>), and their families, including faith formation, sacramental preparation in both English and Spanish for First Holy Communion, Confirmation, and Youth Group.&nbsp;</p>\r\n\r\n<p><b>Major duties and responsibilities: </b></p>\r\n\r\n<ol>\r\n\t<li>Collaborates with the Pastor, Parochial Vicar, and other staff in implementing the mission of the parish.</li>\r\n\t<li>Participates in the comprehensive planning, implementation and evaluation of parish goals and objectives with specific focus on children&rsquo;s ministry and family catechesis in Spanish.</li>\r\n\t<li>Assumes a lead role in registering participants and communicating all necessary information within and outside of the parish.</li>\r\n\t<li>Develops and implements calendar for Family Faith formation and sacramental preparation sessions.</li>\r\n\t<li>Utilizes approved and recommended catechetical resources complying with archdiocesan policy.</li>\r\n\t<li>Selects, submits orders, and maintains inventory of educational supplies and materials in a timely manner as appropriate.</li>\r\n\t<li>Recruits, provides/schedules training, and supports Catechists and volunteers who assist in faith formation in Spanish.</li>\r\n\t<li>Ensure catechists and volunteers comply with the Safe Environment Program and are or will become Certified by the Archdiocese.</li>\r\n\t<li><span style=\"line-height:115%\">Partners with other staff in preparing and implementing Vacation Bible School during the early part of summer.</span></li>\r\n\t<li><span style=\"line-height:115%\">Develops programing and recruit volunteer for Vacation Bible School in collaboration with other formation staff at the parish. </span></li>\r\n\t<li>Assures the development and maintenance of accurate and confidential record-keeping systems.</li>\r\n\t<li>Provides information to appropriate parties regarding bulletin articles and Mass announcements.</li>\r\n\t<li>Attends selected staff meetings, staff retreats, and participates with committee members on major staff events with advanced notification.</li>\r\n\t<li>Other duties as assigned by supervisor.</li>\r\n</ol>\r\n\r\n<p style=\"margin-left:24px\">&nbsp;</p>\r\n\r\n<p style=\"margin-left:24px\">&nbsp;</p>\r\n",
