Description

We are looking for an experienced Director of Land Acquisition to join our team in the Greenville, SC Upstate area. Responsibilities
Land Search
Continually search for lot and land purchase opportunities using a variety of methods. Establish strong relationships with sellers (developers, land owners, brokers, builders, banks), and other related parties (banks, attorneys, engineers, planners) to ensure access to potential opportunities and information on deals transacting in the market Network to represent the division in the market and to stay informed of opportunities for the division. Assist all division staff with building strong relationship strategies with external sellers & related parties. Presentations at public hearings and community meetings
Land Acquisition
Direct and manage the identification of opportunities for lots/land, Letters of Intent (LOI’s), negotiations, proforma financial analysis, and purchase agreements for acquisition of lots/land to support the division. Direct and manage land packages for all acquisition opportunities including all data gathering and analysis, preparation and timely delivery of land packages to the Capital Investment Committee (CIC) and participation in LC Review.
Management
Responsible for all land acquisition goals to achieve the business plan goals and targeted growth of the division. Responsible for creating a positive, motivating, and challenging work environment to promote productivity. Build and maintain strong positive relationships with other division departments that support teamwork and lead to the success of the division in reaching all business plan goals.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Land Management, Business Management or related field. 3 –5 years previous land acquisition or related experience. Working knowledge of residential construction or similar industry.
