Description
PURPOSE STATEMENT
Under close supervision, provides technical support for physicians and nurses in the Emergency Department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Perform phlebotomy. Perform 12 lead EKGs. Transport patients to other departments. Place patients on cardiac and vital sign monitor. Perform Point of Care Testing. Obtain lab specimens and documents all care/procedures provided. Clean equipment and workspace Order/stock department supplies Clerical unit tasks as required/requested Demonstrate positive customer service relations Routinely participates in QI projects and encourages department to continuously improve. Assist co-workers as needed/requested Support the Medical Center’s Mission/Vision/Philosophy positively Maintain regular and predictable attendance Perform other essential duties as assigned
