    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold\">Service Estimating &amp; Submittals</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Classification: </span>Exempt </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Compensation:</span> Salary + bonus potential pending experience</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Reports to</span>:   Head of Estimating </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Summary</span> </p>\n<p>The Service Estimating and Submittal role is responsible for collaborating with existing customers and general contractors to generate estimates, proposals, and submittals for the Kato Roofing service teams. This role works hand in hand with sales, project management, and superintendents to win and execute on new projects.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Essential Functions</span> </p>\n<p>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. </p>\n<ul>\n<li>Estimating and Submittal Management</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Estimate all assigned service projects given by the Head of Estimating or Head of Sales and Business Development to meet company goals and objectives</li>\n<li>Work with suppliers, manufacturers, other trades as required to generate the best pricing opportunities for complete and competitive bidding</li>\n<li>Generate proposals to meet scope of work, addendums, drawings, specifications, etc.</li>\n<li>Review all project estimates and proposals with the Head of Estimating before project deadlines</li>\n<li>Complete submittal packages that meet the job specifications upon project award</li>\n<li>Build trusted relationships with decision-makers and stakeholders</li>\n<li>Meet with contractors and/or account managers to develop relationships, build rapport and continued opportunities</li>\n<li>Serve as subject matter experts to customers and general contractors</li>\n<li>Complete project handoffs with technical guidance to service superintendents for efficient project management</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n<li>Customer Support &amp; Escalations </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Act as the escalation point for customer support issues, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication </li>\n<li>Advocate for customers internally while balancing operational feasibility and company standards </li>\n<li>Intake and route support cases to completion, maintaining high customer satisfaction </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Revenue Growth &amp; Sales Support </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Collaborate with sales and estimating teams to scope, price, and present service proposals </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Performance &amp; Reporting </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Meet or exceed KPIs tied to:  </li>\n<li>Annual Contract Value (ACV) while maintaining company goals, budgets, profit margins, etc.</li>\n<li>Maintain accurate CRM records, including account notes, opportunities, and activity tracking </li>\n<li>Provide regular updates and reporting on sales activity, account health, and market insights. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Competencies</span> </p>\n<ul>\n<li>Customer-first mindset with strong relationship-building skills </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Proactive, organized, and detail-oriented </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Problem-solver who can manage escalations calmly and effectively </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Comfortable balancing customer advocacy with business objectives </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Work Environment</span> </p>\n<p>This position operates some of the time in a typical office environment, spending time at a desk, typing at a computer, talking with people in person and on the phone, taking notes, and using standard office equipment. The job also requires job site visits and or customers. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Physical Demands</span> </p>\n<p>Frequent visits to job sites; must be able to work in outdoor conditions including heat, cold, and varying weather. </p>\n<p>Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer when in the office. </p>\n<p>Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Position Type/Expected Hours of Work</span> </p>\n<p>This is a full-time position, and business hours are Monday through Friday. Longer hours, evenings, and weekend work as necessary.   </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Travel</span> <br>Travel to events, customer and general contractor offices, and job sites in the region as required. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Education/Requirements:</span> </p>\n<ul>\n<li>3+ years of experience estimating production and/or service/maintenance in the commercial roofing industry preferred</li>\n<li>Commercial roofing, construction, facilities management, or building services industry experience </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience in customer success, account management, or B2B customer-facing roles (construction, roofing, or facilities preferred) </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical roofing information to non-technical customers </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Proven experience managing multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Comfort with revenue responsibility and performance-based KPIs </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience working with CRM systems, Bluebeam, Edge estimating platform, and customer tracking tools </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">AAP/EEO Statement</span> </p>\n<p>Kato Roofing provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, sexual preference, or status as a veteran or disabled veteran in accordance with applicable federal laws.
