    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>Location: </strong>Manchester Citadel (Manchester, CT)</p>\n<p><strong>Status: </strong>Non-exempt,Temporary     </p>\n<p><strong>Hours Per Week: </strong>as needed</p>\n<p><strong>Schedule: </strong>as needed for Sunday, 9:15 am – 11:15 am</p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Scope of Position: </strong>Supervises all nursery activities for children from infants to five years old during Sunday morning Holiness Meetings to ensure their safety at all times.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Change diapers and assist with the bathroom needs of children.</li>\n <li>Constantly monitor and maintain the cleanliness and safety of the nursery.</li>\n <li>Coordinate activities for the children in the nursery.</li>\n <li>Create a safe, nurturing environment for children aged from infants to five years old. </li>\n <li>Do not use mobile devices (cell phones, tablets, etc.) during work hours for any personal matters.</li>\n <li>Enlist and assist in training volunteers for the nursery.</li>\n <li>Follow all health and safety precautions.</li>\n <li>Greet children and their parents at the door as they arrive, whenever possible.</li>\n <li>Notify the supervisor of any needs or concerns.</li>\n <li>Participate in regular planning. </li>\n <li>Prepare and serve snacks and inventory supplies.</li>\n <li>Provide at least one week's advanced notice of substitution needs to the supervisor. </li>\n <li>Provide parents with contact information.</li>\n <li>Report to work on time.</li>\n <li>Work cooperatively with parents and Corps staff.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Must have experience in childcare and enjoy working with children.</li>\n <li>Must be at least 18 years old.</li>\n <li>Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with children, parents, and supervisors.</li>\n <li>Ability to lift 40 pounds.</li>\n <li>Ability to move and react quickly to a variety of circumstances.</li>\n <li>Energetic, patient, and nurturing personality.</li>\n <li>CPR and/or First Aid certifications are highly preferred.</li>\n <li>Must be able to bend, crawl, climb, lift, kneel, and crouch.</li>\n <li>Must be dependable.</li>\n <li>Satisfactory background check required.</li>\n <li>Must complete required training upon hire.</li>\n <li>Will respect and promote the interests of The Salvation Army.
