    "description": "<h2>Job Description</h2>\n<p></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Midland Health is seeking a dedicated and experienced Athletic Trainer to join our West Texas Orthopedics Clinic team. This is a split-role position that combines clinical support responsibilities with athletic training coverage for a local school district.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>SHIFT AND SCHEDULE </strong></p>\n<p>Full Time; Monday - Friday; 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This role includes clinic-based patient support as well as athletic training services for Stanton ISD. The Athletic Trainer will work collaboratively with providers, patients, and school staff to ensure high-quality care and injury management.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>CLINIC RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Assist with MRI and CT authorizations and coordinate imaging scheduling as ordered by providers</li>\n <li>Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and ensure continuity of care</li>\n <li>Support providers in delivering efficient, patient-centered clinical services</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>SCHOOL COVERAGE RESPONSIBILITIES (STANTON ISD)</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide daily athletic training coverage during athletic periods and after-school practices</li>\n <li>Travel with varsity football, including away games</li>\n <li>Travel for varsity playoff competitions for other sports as needed</li>\n <li>Provide coverage for:</li>\n <li>Home high school athletic events</li>\n <li>Home junior high football games</li>\n <li>Select Saturday events, including volleyball games</li>\n <li>On-call support for Saturday basketball practices</li>\n <li>One home basketball tournament in December</li>\n <li>Junior high and high school track meets in March</li>\n <li>Provide weekly coverage during summer conditioning programs</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Note:</strong> Work hours may be adjusted throughout the week to maintain an approximate 40-hour work schedule.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Assist in patient care under the direct supervision of a healthcare provider and in collaboration with the healthcare team</li>\n <li>Deliver excellent customer service while promoting patient rights, dignity, and individualized care</li>\n <li>Serve as a key resource for athletes, parents, and coaches by reinforcing provider instructions and care plans</li>\n <li>Plan, coordinate, and supervise all aspects of the athletic training program.</li>\n <li>Provide services under the direction of the team physician, including:</li>\n <ul>\n  <li>Injury prevention</li>\n  <li>Evaluation and assessment</li>\n  <li>Emergency care</li>\n  <li>Rehabilitation and reconditioning</li>\n  <li>Referral coordination as needed</li>\n </ul>\n <li>Perform casting, splinting, and durable medical equipment (DME) or brace fittings as appropriate</li>\n <li>Act as a liaison between athletes, parents, coaches, and clinic staff to ensure effective communication and care coordination</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE</strong></p>\n<p>• Licensed Athletic Trainer</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS</strong>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily. <strong>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals </strong><strong>with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</strong> The individual must be able to:• Stand, walk, sit, stoop, reach, lift, see, speak and hear. Lifting is limited to 35 lbs. for clinical staff and to 50 lbs. for non-clinical staff.
