The position generates opportunities to promote a positive image for Little Creek Casino Resort within the industry and community.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p><ul><li>Effectively manage the day-to-day activities and business levels of a sports book: hiring, scheduling, training, and mentoring staff, and fostering an environment focused on high performance, compliance, and excellent guest service.</li><li>Evaluates all Sports Book department policies and procedures for efficiencies.&nbsp;</li><li>Responsible for departmental budgeting within guidelines established in conjunction with finance team.</li><li>Meets with all department related vendors to make use of products that assist in department profitability.&nbsp;</li><li>Ensures proper implementation of established procedures and internal controls for effective and secure cash flow.</li><li>Communicates long-term direction and goals to the entire Sports Book department.&nbsp;</li><li>Demonstrate leadership and ensure operational effectiveness which will yield a successful operation.</li><li>Generate opportunities to maximize handling, profitability, and promotion of the Sports Book.&nbsp;</li><li>Ensure all guests are made to feel welcome by all team members, always.&nbsp;</li><li>Ensure the Sports Book area is clean, and that the equipment is in proper working condition daily.&nbsp;</li><li>Maintains control logs of keys and radios, ensuring their security on property.&nbsp;</li><li>Ensure that the Sports Book Writer's funds are appropriately accountable at the end of each shift.</li><li>Ensure betting control guidelines are adhered to within the sports book.</li><li>Foster an environment focused on guest service and compliance.&nbsp;</li><li>Develop skills and knowledge of the sports book team.</li><li>Plan and execute an effective staffing model, keeping in line with an approved budget.&nbsp;</li><li>Establish and maintain effective and professional working relationships with internal and external contacts.</li><li>Create, maintain, and facilitate a positive work environment.&nbsp;</li></ul><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p><strong>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><p><br></p><p>Supervise the Sportsbook Department.
