The Future We Build Together.</p>\n<h2>Requirements</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>High School diploma or equivalent</li>\n <li>Vocational or Technical Certification, Post-secondary vocational education preferred</li>\n <li>One (1) year or more combination of classroom training or work experience of mechanical repairs on heavy duty and medium duty equipment. Must have minimum tools required as outlined in Maintenance policy 2.02</li>\n <li>One (1) year or more performing advanced mechanical repairs and diagnostics on heavy duty and medium duty equipment and the ability to demonstrate proficiency with advanced diagnostics, overhaul, and repair of all vehicle components and systems preferred</li>\n <li>Effective interpersonal communication skills</li>\n <li>Ability to:</li>\n <ul>\n  <li>Complete and apply required technical training as assigned</li>\n  <li>Pass Ryder Regulated Status Requirements</li>\n </ul>\n <li>Demonstrated mechanical aptitude</li>\n <li>Highly thorough and dependable. Work shift work and weekend as required. Perform all entry level tasks</li>\n <li>Knowledge of and ability to apply knowledge of computers (intermediate level)</li>\n <li>Non Commercial Driver License CLASS E</li>\n <li>Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A preferred</li>\n <li>Must possess state license as required</li>\n <li>Safety Sensitive Position, Non-Regulated Tech</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties</li>\n <li>Performs standard vehicle maintenance</li>\n <li>Performs standard component inspections and repairs</li>\n <li>Performs preventive maintenance</li>\n <li>Diagnoses standard mechanical and electronic problems, utilizing diagnostic computer when applicable</li>\n <li>Identifies root cause of basic failures/conditions and perform repairs as required</li>\n <li>Replaces defective components as instructed</li>\n <li>Performs facility maintenance duties</li>\n <li>Interacts with customers/drivers to properly determine nature of complaint once assigned a task</li>\n <li>Utilizes key functions of Shop Management System and electronic documentation available</li>\n <li>Works in accordance with all federal/ provincial and corporate compliance guidelines (i.e., safety, DOT, MOT)</li>\n <li>Performs other support duties as required to support operations.
