The primary focus is related to buying and forecasting of dedicated categories, supporting the group with making the best use of suppliers, risk planning, inventory value control and reduction of excess materials.&nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><br></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 21.5px;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Own and execute category strategy for raw materials across Alcom. Working with each site to source proper levels of inventory for optimum production support.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Lead sourcing workstreams for NPD launches, product transfers, and lifecycle cost improvement initiatives.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Lead supplier performance management, including scorecards, business reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Lead PO creation for your defined categories across each Alcom site.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Identification of any obsolete or excess material, driving the timely execution of disposition of materials.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Lead best practice layout for utilization of material MOQ&rsquo;s. (Consumption of higher MOQ material across multiple sites)</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Responsible for developing and executing global sourcing strategies, managing key supplier relationships, and driving total cost of ownership (TCO) reduction.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Implement strategies to mitigate supply chain risk, including identifying alternative suppliers and developing contingency plans.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Drive continuous cost improvement initiatives through value engineering, should-cost modeling, and process optimization with suppliers.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ownership and participation with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for supplier quality, delivery (OTIF), cost, and innovation.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Provide strategic procurement insight to leadership and cross-functional partners to support business planning and growth initiatives.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ability to communicate clearly with all levels of Alcom team. This role will work in collaboration across production planning, logistics, and material control.&nbsp;</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><br></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>REQUIREMENTS &amp; QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">5 or more years of category procurement experience over various categories with spend in excess of $10M USD.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Proven experience with ERP/MRP and Warehouse/Inventory software in a manufacturing environment (experience with Genius ERP is considered a plus)</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and Power BI</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Self-motivated leader that enjoys challenges and working in a fast-paced, multi-shift environment.</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:.25in;\"><br></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong><u>DESIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:</u></strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0in;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in business-related field preferred. Requiring frequent bending, standing and walking on a production floor and warehouse yard. This role uses standard office equipment.
