    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>Job Description</strong></p><p>Tektronix has an exceptional opportunity for a <strong>Field Service Technician / Calibration Technician</strong> to join our team in the Cincinnati, OH area at one of our permanent onsite locations in Batavia.</p><p>We are seeking an innovative problem solver who can provide creative, high-quality service solutions to our customers. The Calibration Technician will perform routine and complex work related to the repair and calibration of test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment.</p><p>This role requires strong technical capability, attention to detail, customer focus, and the ability to work effectively in a customer-facing environment.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p>The Field Service Technician / Calibration Technician will be responsible for:</p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Performing manual and automated calibrations, adjustments, and limited repairs on test and measurement equipment at customer locations.&nbsp;</li><li>Completing calibration services within the expected timeframes assigned by lead technicians or supervisors.&nbsp;</li><li>Performing low- to medium-complexity calibrations in general-purpose, torque, physical dimensional, and related measurement areas.&nbsp;</li><li>Accurately entering calibration data into tracking systems and databases.&nbsp;</li><li>Creating calibration data sheets accurately and efficiently using instrument specifications and approved procedures.&nbsp;</li><li>Completing all required documentation in support of customer, ISO, and quality management system requirements.&nbsp;</li><li>Occasionally performing final inspection of work completed by other technicians.&nbsp;</li><li>Interacting with customers regarding items requiring repair, limited calibration, or technical clarification.&nbsp;</li><li>Serving as a primary Tektronix representative at the customer site.&nbsp;</li><li>Performing preventive maintenance and other laboratory support functions as required. &nbsp;</li><li>Following company policies, procedures, and quality management system requirements.&nbsp;</li><li>Participating in RBS activities, including daily scheduling, visual management, Kaizen events, and basic problem-solving activities.&nbsp;</li><li>Maintaining an efficient, organized, and professional work area.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p><p>The successful candidate will have the following combination of education, experience, and skills:</p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Typically requires <strong>3–6 years of related experience</strong>.&nbsp;</li><li>Strong customer service skills.&nbsp;</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills.&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to work on semi-routine assignments while recognizing when alternate, acceptable calibration methods may be required.&nbsp;</li><li>Proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Office, internet applications, and Excel.&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to travel as needed for training, skill development, and customer support. &nbsp;</li><li>Valid driver’s license with the ability to meet company vehicle requirements.&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to lift up to <strong>50 pounds</strong> unassisted.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p><p>Preferred qualifications include:</p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>College degree or continued technical education.&nbsp;</li><li>Military Metrology / Calibration training, such as PMEL or TMDE.&nbsp;</li><li>Two-year technical certification.&nbsp;</li><li>Experience calibrating equipment in one or more of the following disciplines:&nbsp;<ul style=\"list-style-type: circle;\"><li>Torque</li><li>General-purpose test equipment&nbsp;</li><li>Physical dimensional equipment&nbsp;</li><li>Pressure &nbsp;</li></ul></li></ul><p>#LI-CS1</p><p>&nbsp;</p>",
