    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span>SUMMARY OF POSITION<br></span></span></p>\n<p><span>Kindred Construction is a General Contractor and Construction Manager seeking committed, hardworking individuals who take pride in their work. We are currently looking for a Skilled Labourer to support our steady portfolio of residential and commercial new builds, tenant improvements, and institutional projects throughout the Lower Mainland.</span></p>\n<p><span>The ideal candidate will possess strong basic carpentry skills, practical problem-solving abilities, and the confidence to work independently when required. This position requires a physically fit individual who is comfortable performing demanding construction tasks and handling heavy building materials.<br><br></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES<br></span></span></p>\n<p><span>The successful candidate will exercise considerable independent judgment and initiative in performing assigned duties and will work closely with the Site Superintendent to support project delivery.</span></p>\n<p><span>General labour and skilled labour duties may include:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Moving construction materials and performing general site cleanup.</span></li>\n<li><span>Assisting carpenters with miscellaneous carpentry tasks.</span></li>\n<li><span>Performing basic carpentry work, including measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing materials.</span></li>\n<li><span>Using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.</span></li>\n<li><span>Troubleshooting site issues and applying practical problem-solving skills.</span></li>\n<li><span>Working independently to complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision.</span></li>\n<li><span>Operating machinery and equipment for various construction tasks, where qualified.</span></li>\n<li><span>Lifting and carrying heavy construction materials, including 3/4\" plywood sheets and other building products.<br><br></span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES<br></span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Any level of OFA certification is considered an asset; willingness to obtain at minimum OFA Level 1 is required.</span></li>\n<li><span>Previous experience working on construction sites is required.</span></li>\n<li><span>Demonstrated basic carpentry skills and familiarity with common construction methods.</span></li>\n<li><span>Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently.</span></li>\n<li><span>Familiarity with the materials, tools, and machinery commonly used on construction sites.</span></li>\n<li><span>Physically fit and capable of performing strenuous work for extended periods.</span></li>\n<li><span>Ability to safely lift and carry heavy materials.<br><br></span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span>WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Competitive wages and extended benefits after three months.</span></li>\n<li><span>Education allowances to support continued growth and career advancement.</span></li>\n<li><span>Commitment to keeping our people employed on a long-term and ongoing basis.<br><br></span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span>Kindred Construction is an equal opportunity employer that does not tolerate discrimination in the workplace.
