Here, you will make an impact by:</p><ul><li>Configuring, operating, and maintaining processes and equipment incorporating web mechanics, coating and/or printing, drying, curing, analysis and characterization.</li><li>Conducting designed experiments to support lead researchers that must develop a thorough understanding of how materials and process parameters affect final product properties. </li><li>Ability to work independently and with multidisciplinary team members.</li><li>Ability to make recommendations with respect to material formulation and/or process modifications.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Your Skills and Expertise  </b><br />To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:</p><ul><li>High school diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start)</li><li>Two (2) years of technician experience</li><li><span>Fluency in written and spoken English</span></li></ul><p></p><p>Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:</p><ul><li>Associate degree or two-year technical degree from an accredited institution</li><li>Four (4) or more years of laboratory experience conducting product performance testing</li><li>Experience testing adhesives, tapes, laminates, or other coated materials</li><li>Familiarity with adhesive and tape test methods such as peel, tack, shear, tensile, or environmental aging evaluations</li><li>Strong attention to detail, communication skills, initiative, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Work location: </b> This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the 3M Center in<b> Maplewood, MN.</b></p><p><b>Travel: </b><b>May include up to 5%</b></p><p><b>Relocation Assistance: </b><b>Is not authorized</b></p><p></p><p><b>Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).</b></p><p></p><p><b>Supporting Your Well-being</b> </p><p>3M offers many programs to help you live your best life – both physically and financially.
