Explore opportunities with us and help improve the quality of life in the communities we serve </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Group: Construction Solutions</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Position: Seasonal Construction Inspector</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Location: Cincinnati, OH </strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Seasonal Construction Inspector supports construction inspection activities during the active construction season, typically from early spring through early winter. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Inspect construction work on transportation, utility, and infrastructure projects to document conformity to construction standards and specifications.</li>\n <li>Perform daily field observations, quantity measurements, and documentation of contractor activities.</li>\n <li>Assist with basic material sampling and testing (concrete, asphalt, soil, aggregates) per INDOT/ODOT procedures.</li>\n <li>Record data in daily work reports, field books, and supporting documentation systems.</li>\n <li>Communicate professionally with contractors, clients, and project staff.</li>\n <li>Report safety concerns, non-conforming work, and field issues promptly.</li>\n <li>Use construction documentation tools such as AASHTOWare Project or Appia, after training.</li>\n <li>Maintain accurate photographic documentation of field activities.</li>\n <li>Assist full-time inspection staff with additional duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework in civil engineering, construction technology, or related fields preferred.</li>\n <li>5+ years of construction inspection experience, ideally for transportation projects</li>\n <li>Ability to read plans and interpret basic construction details.</li>\n <li>Strong communication, documentation, and observational skills.</li>\n <li>Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions for extended periods.</li>\n <li>Familiarity with Microsoft Office; Bluebeam familiarity preferred.</li>\n <li>Valid driver’s license required.</li>\n <li>ODOT inspection-related certifications, preferred but not required. </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Physical Demands</strong></p>\n<p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
