    "description": "<h2></h2>\n<p></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Investigate, analyze, strategize, adjust loss/expense reserves and effectively manage claims and litigation involving bodily injury, property damage, professional liability, and D&O to achieve the best possible outcome</li>\n <li>Provide counsel and take action on coverage issues, factual developments, liability exposure, loss/expense reserves, and settlement opportunities</li>\n <li>Provide outstanding customer service to our policy holders, business partners, claimants, and teammates throughout the organization</li>\n <li>Attend mediation hearings and settlement conferences, when appropriate</li>\n <li>Review insurance policies, and prepare reservation of rights and/or declination letters, as necessary</li>\n <li>Support highly successful and growing claims team</li>\n <li>Additional duties may be assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum 3-4 years of insurance defense experience and/or insurance coverage experience preferred</li>\n <li>Strong work ethic, excellent analytical skills, and high energy</li>\n <li>Must be committed to education, learning the law of numerous jurisdictions, team work, and the financial success of our organization</li>\n <li>Solid computer skills, including competence with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel</li>\n <li>Commitment to exemplary customer service</li>\n <li>Ability to travel</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Education/License:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>J.D. degree from an accredited law school</li>\n <li>Active law license in good standing from at least one state</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Benefits:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Employer paid continuing education courses and designations via access to Kaufman Institute</li>\n <li>Health and welfare benefits including medical, vision and dental</li>\n <li>401K with employer match</li>\n <li>Paid vacation, sick time, and holidays</li>\n <li>Access to Kaufman Wellness Program</li>\n <li>Flexible and hybrid work options</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>About Our Company</h2>\n<p>Atain is an admitted and non-admitted property and casualty insurance company dedicated to serving niche programs and excess & surplus (E&S) markets.
