    "description": "<h2>About JerseySTEM</h2>\n<p><strong>All JerseySTEM roles are pro-bono (unpaid) positions.</strong>JerseySTEM is a mission-driven professional network of pro-bono contributors dedicated to improving access to STEM education and career pathways for underserved middle school girls in New Jersey.</p>\n<p>Members contribute their professional skills and leverage their networks in service of the organization’s gender-equity agenda.Membership is a <strong>minimum six-month commitment of approximately six flexible hours per week </strong>and includes a $100 refundable deposit, returned after six months of active membership. K–12 educators, retirees, veterans, interns, and students are exempt from the deposit.</p>\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>This is a pro-bono volunteer position.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>JerseySTEM is searching for a volunteer who can oversee our internship program. This role will be responsible for the entire life-cycle of intern management from onboarding to offboarding. You will be developing intern engagement programs, and create a sense of community within JerseySTEM for the interns. You will also be the go-to person with any intern questions that the organization might have, as well as to the interns.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Participate in the hiring process for JerseySTEM internship program</li>\n <li>Help diversify sources of interns</li>\n <li>Streamline processes and implement a structure to the internship program that align to organization goals</li>\n <li>Develop engagement programs for the interns (e.g. buddy system, remote happy hours, surveys, recognitions, etc.)</li>\n <li>Oversee the onboarding and offboarding of the internship program</li>\n <li>Partner with the leaders to identify internship needs</li>\n <li>Be the SME in everything intern related!</li>\n <li>Enforce compliance if internship regulations</li>\n <li>6 hours a week, 6 month commitment</li>\n <li>Virtual position</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Strong proficiency in Gsuite required</li>\n <li>Prior experience with using slack, salesforce, and Jira strongly preferred</li>\n <li>Strong organization skills and detail orientation</li>\n <li>Process and people oriented</li>\n <li>Self-starter and accountable</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>The ability to identify and leverage resources</li>\n <li>Prior experience working in a start-up/non-profit preferred</li>\n <li>Prior experience with managing an HR program preferred</li>\n <li>Track record of success with building successful partnership within an organization</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>This is a pro-bono volunteer position.</strong></p>",
