Through programs for children and youth, adults and families, and older adults, QCH provides tools and resources that enrich lives and strengthen communities.</p><p>We are committed to creating inclusive opportunities and welcome motivated individuals from all backgrounds who are eager to gain meaningful professional experience while contributing to our mission.</p><p><strong>About the YouthBuild Queens Pre-Apprenticeship Program</strong></p><p>The YouthBuild Queens Pre-Apprenticeship Workforce Development Program offers paid internship opportunities for young adults ages 17&ndash;24 throughout New York City. This program is designed to help participants develop foundational workplace skills, gain hands-on experience, and explore pathways to long-term employment, apprenticeships, or continued education.</p><p><strong>Primary Responsibilities</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Report to an assigned workplace supervisor and the QCH Internship Coordinator</li><li>Participate in mandatory work readiness trainings and job coaching workshops</li><li>Perform site-specific duties, which may include administrative support, customer service, or program assistance</li><li>Demonstrate professionalism, including punctuality, adherence to workplace policies, and appropriate workplace attire</li><li>Maintain regular communication with the QCH Internship Coordinator regarding progress, challenges, and support needs</li><li>Complete and submit timesheets, evaluations, and required documentation accurately and on time</li><li>Represent Queens Community House in a professional, respectful, and positive manner at all times</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Must be between 17&ndash;24 years of age</li><li>Preference given to individuals who are low-income and not currently enrolled in school</li><li>Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills</li><li>Willingness to learn, take initiative, and work collaboratively in a team environment</li><li>Ability to follow instructions and complete assignments responsibly</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Skills &amp; Qualities</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Interest in gaining real-world work experience</li><li>Motivation to explore career pathways and build professional confidence</li><li>Respect for diverse communities and work environments</li></ul><p><strong>What Participants Receive</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Paid hourly internship experience</li><li>One-on-one mentorship and job coaching</li><li>Career exploration and professional development workshops</li><li>Hands-on experience that supports long-term career and workforce readiness</li></ul><p><strong>How to Apply</strong></p><p>Interested candidates should follow program referral instructions or submit required application materials as directed by their program coordinator.</p><p><strong>Queens Community House is an Equal Opportunity Organization and strongly encourages applicants from all backgrounds to apply.</strong></p></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div>\n",
