(MSA) is a diversified information management company that for over a half a century has given market leaders the competitive edge in data management, analytics and technology. &nbsp;We are currently seeking a Software Automation Engineer I for this exciting role. &nbsp;This position is responsible for the design, implementation, change control, and support using MSA’s Workload Automation Scheduling (BMC Control-M) system, which defines factory operational processes. You will be working with application and system owners across the organization to design, configure and schedule production batch jobs across a multi-platform enterprise infrastructure. The Software Automation Engineer I will be responsible for defining and understanding work processes, job plan dependencies, and to help enforce production control policies and procedures.</p><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">&nbsp;</p><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">&nbsp;</p><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\"><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Develop and define new software automation processes and standards based on business needs. &nbsp;Function as a member of an agile development team to drive consistent automation and software development practices including tools, common components, and documentation.&nbsp;</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Collaborate with application and product managers, software developers and other stakeholders to design appropriate automation across multiple software applications. &nbsp;Responsible for business analysis of functional requirements of software applications under development for automation.</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Identify and resolve workload automation and job scheduling issues&nbsp;</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Continually design and deploy job scheduling infrastructure</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Assist application developers with coding, testing and implementing various processes to support the workload automation</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Work with experienced team members to begin conducting independent and collaborative work on internal and external projects to determine best approach for automation using software tools and scripting languages</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Work with experienced team members to begin analyzing software requirements, procedures and problems to determine the need for further software automation or to improve existing applications and systems</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Support software automation standards, policies and procedures across the enterprise which includes development, quality assurance, unit testing and production environments</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Review audit and control processes, change management, process architecture, and other automation issues. Report results and work with team members to identify solutions where applicable.</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Perform conversion and migration of new or existing process flows into a software automation solution</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Develops deep understanding of software or system tie-ins with other platforms within the supported environments</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Ability to effectively communicate across third parties, technical and business owners on solution design</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Support standards, policies &amp; procedures for workload automation across the enterprise</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Develop and document Production Control processes and procedures&nbsp;</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Develop &amp; define new protocols and standards based on business needs</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Enforce Production Control standards and policies<br>&nbsp;</p></li></ul><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\"><strong>Required Skills:</strong></p><ul><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Requires a four-year degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer/Electrical Engineering or a computer related discipline, or equivalent experience.</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Minimum one year of relevant experience with software automation, systems engineering, application analysis or related position.</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Knowledge of specialized automation software or scripting required for automation such as scheduling automation software, process and decision automation, data capture, management and transfer tools, workflow orchestration, robotic process automation (RPA), and business rule management software</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Knowledge of relational databases such as Oracle and Microsoft database technologies, and SQL</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Knowledge of multiple operating system platforms such as Linux, AIX, Microsoft, etc.</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Demonstrated willingness as well as the ability to learn new technologies</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Communication skills both written and oral including the ability to translate and converse about technical and analytical issues</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Effective time management skills with the ability to be self-directed in a fast-paced, high growth environment</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Strong analytical and organizational skills</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">High degree of flexibility, motivation and drive. &nbsp;Must be able to adjust to changes in approach based on new information.</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Demonstrated problem solving skills</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Proactive and positive attitude with diplomacy; willingness to take responsibility</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Self-starter, flexible, and highly detail-oriented</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Ability to apply IT concepts to perform analysis and functions from multiple IT areas of specialization</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Ability to design and deploy software to provide automation within an existing infrastructure</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Ability to effectively communicate across third parties and technical and business owners on solution design</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Ability to gather requirements related to software/application changes that may impact production</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Must be able to communicate ideas and receive constructive feedback</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Positive attitude and willingness to work collaboratively</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Exceptional quality of work and attention to detail</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Self-motivated for continued learning and growth</p></li></ul>",
