Overview THE OPPORTUNITY The National College of Education (NCE) at National Louis University is pleased to announce its search for a full-time faculty member at the secondary level. We seek a colleague who can help provide leadership to the program in Natural Sciences Education (biology, physics, chemistry, geology). This is a full-time, 10-month, open-ranking (Assistant/Associate) faculty position. The successful candidate will possess expertise in secondary education to support the growth of teacher preparation programs and to teach graduate-level coursework at the master’s level. Candidates will promote the infusion of current research-based and culturally responsive teaching methods into curriculum and instruction in NCE’s traditional and alternative Secondary Education programs. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Doctorate earned in Science Education or related educational field, Three or more years of secondary-level teaching experience related to the field of science, Demonstrated or planned scholarly research agenda focused on science, secondary education, or teacher education, Strong commitment to fostering and promoting quality education that is accessible for all students. Preferred Qualifications: Is well-versed in the learning sciences and innovative applications of emerging technologies, Has strong teaching and research skills, Has proven experience and proficiency in teaching across various higher education platforms, including online, blended, and face-to-face formats.
