These materials are most often produced from natural deposits of limestone and river sand. Our mining process typically begins with drilling and blasting the rock into smaller pieces. The material goes through various stages of crushing and screening to produce the sizes and specifications desired by our customers. <br>Our aggregates are used in different ways within the construction industry. As an associate member of the Oklahoma and Arkansas AGC chapters, we work closely with member contractors in providing materials to meet the most stringent needs and state certifications.</p>\n<p>◾ As a base material underneath highways, walkways, airport runways, parking lots and railroads.</p>\n<p>◾ To help aid in water filtration, purification and erosion control including Type I and Type II Rip Rap.</p>\n<p>◾ Used as a raw material in combination with other resources to construct many of the items that we rely on daily.</p>\n<p>◾ Houses and apartments</p>\n<p>◾ Roads, bridges and parking lots</p>\n<p>◾ Schools and hospitals</p>\n<p>◾ Commercial buildings and retail space</p>\n<p>◾ Sewer systems </p>\n<p>◾ Airports and runways.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Construction aggregates have formed the underpinnings for many of our cities, towns and transportation networks. Thousands of years ago, civilizations built entire cities with stone, sand and gravel, and many of these ancient structures still exist today. Aggregates are durable, attractive, and can be used in many different applications. On average, every American uses approximately eight tons of aggregates each year. Although our principal product is construction aggregates, Kemp Quarries offers a variety of other state-approved products and services.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>About the Position</strong></span><br>The primary functions of the operator include but are not limited to:</p>\n<p>1) Being responsible for the safe and efficient operation of mobile aggregate mining and processing equipment and effectively monitor all equipment under his/her control, </p>\n<p><span>2) Loading of stockpiled product onto customer trucks and trailers, </span></p>\n<p><span>3) Operate and troubleshoot the scale computer, remote scale touchscreen and printer, and </span></p>\n<p><span>4) Offloading of product imported by rail cars into onsite stockpiles.  </span></p>\n<p><span>5) This position requires experience in operating midsize to larger loaders for product loadout.  </span></p>\n<p><span>6) This position will also be trained and responsible for the daily offloading of product from rail cars. </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>KEY RESPONSIBILITES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:<br>◾ Regular, reliable attendance at the worksite or assigned work location.</p>\n<p>◾ Follow all safety and environmental rules, regulations and procedures as set forth by company policies and MSHA. ◾ Follow all company policies and local, state and federal regulations for safe working procedures.</p>\n<p>◾ Ability and knowledge to operate and monitor equipment in a safe and efficient manner.</p>\n<p>◾ Ability to perform preventive maintenance and pre-shift inspections; repair and/or clean equipment as needed.</p>\n<p>◾ Responsible for overall housekeeping including plant, equipment, and site.</p>\n<p>◾ Ability to comprehend and complete all needed paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.</p>\n<p>◾ Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:<br>◾ Lift objects of various dimensions and up to 75 lbs. occasionally and 50 lbs. frequently.</p>\n<p>◾ Ability to repeatedly climb stairs and ladders.</p>\n<p>◾ Ability to repeatedly balance, bend from the trunk, crawl, kneel, push and pull objects.</p>\n<p>◾ Ability to use vibration producing tools frequently.</p>\n<p>◾ Ability to tolerate working outdoors in all environmental temperatures and weather conditions.</p>\n<p>◾ Ability to repeatedly reach, squat and tolerate prolonged standing/walking/sitting.</p>\n<p>◾ Ability to frequently walk on uneven surfaces.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:<br>◾ <span>Mid-level experience on midsize to large front-end loaders required. </span></p>\n<p><span>◾ </span><span>Mechanical experience a plus. </span></p>\n<p>◾ High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.</p>\n<p>◾ Good safety, behavior and attendance record.</p>\n<p>◾ The selected candidate will be required to work collectively in a team environment with other co-workers and managers.</p>\n<p>◾ Willingness to do other work as needed, including heavy labor.</p>\n<p>◾ Willingness to work outside in all weather extremes.</p>\n<p>◾ Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule, including swing shift, graveyard shift, over time and weekends as required.</p>\n<p>◾ Ability to work near, around or on light or heavy equipment. </p>\n<p>◾ Ability to operate and troubleshoot the scale computer, remote scale touchscreen and printer.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Location</strong></span><br>Seligman, MO</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>We are an equal opportunity employer, dedicated to a policy of non-discrimination in employment on any basis including age, sex, color, race, creed, national origin, religious persuasion, marital status, political belief, or disability that does not prohibit performance of essential job functions.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Federal Law prohibits the employment of unauthorized aliens.
