This includes keeping all floorcare equipment in a clean and safe operational condition. Along with the floorcare responsibilities, this position requires complying with all safety and survey regulations</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong><u>Primary Responsibilities</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Providing facility with floorcare in accordance with policies and procedures to facilitate a clean and safe floor environment as indicated by:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Maintaining and following established floorcare tasks according to facility guidelines to ensure compliance with QA standards;</li>\n   <li>Following floorcare schedules each day and providing an overall balanced floor cleaning program;</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<p>Following chemical instructions to properly mix solutions and ensuring adequate cleaning results;</p>\n<ul>\n <li>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Maintaining knowledge of all pertinent regulations, policies and procedures to provide a clean and safe environment for the residents, staff and visitors;</li>\n   <li>Maintaining all floorcare records to comply with schedules;</li>\n   <li>Ensuring that all floorcare equipment, supplies and other tools are clean and properly stored before leaving on break, lunch and at the end of the day;</li>\n   <li>Coordinating all work with other department’s work schedule to avoid interferences when possible;</li>\n   <li>Disposing of all empty containers from the day’s use into the proper refuse containers;</li>\n   <li>Maintaining the confidentiality of all residents and their care to ensure resident rights, privacy and property are protected at all times; </li>\n   <li>Reporting and documenting resident and/or visitor incidents, accidents, complaints or allegations according to the facility’s policy and procedure using the designated occurrence reporting system; &</li>\n   <li>Turning in all found articles to the housekeeping supervisor or Administrator;</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Following periodic cleaning schedules for equipment and returning equipment to proper area after use, &</li>\n <li>Ensuring that work areas are maintained in a clean and sanitary manner.</li>\n <li>Performing other duties as assigned by Supervisor.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Floor Technician Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>The ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language</li>\n <li>Must be able to lift, push, pull and move equipment, supplies, etc in excess of 50 lbs</li>\n <li>Must be able to do constant walking, bending, lifting and standing for long periods during a scheduled shift</li>\n</ul>",
