This is a highly independent, hands-on role for someone who thrives with ownership, stays ahead of the technology curve, and brings a genuine passion for AI-driven innovation to their work every day.  Our development team is currently transforming a legacy monolithic single tenant AWS Ec2 n-tier environment into a scalable, cutting edge solution.</span><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>You will be the go-to expert for our AWS infrastructure, ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of enterprise-level applications used by thousands of public sector users across North America. If you love solving complex infrastructure problems, embrace emerging AI tools to amplify your impact, and want your work to matter to real communities — this role is for you.</p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What You'll Do</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Architect, deploy, and manage AWS EC2 infrastructure hosting enterprise public budgeting software, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance</li>\n<li>Own day-to-day operations of Windows Server and Linux environments running ASPX/VB.NET applications backed by Microsoft SQL Server</li>\n<li>Manage DNS, routing, and network configurations across Route 53 and Cloudflare, including load balancing, failover, and traffic management</li>\n<li>Lead cloud security posture management using Wiz, proactively identifying and remediating vulnerabilities and misconfigurations</li>\n<li>Administer and maintain AWS Patch Manager to ensure consistent, timely patching across all managed instances</li>\n<li>Support and maintain SAP Business Objects environments integrated with the budgeting platform</li>\n<li>Initially focus on migration of production assets from the existing AWS environment to a new modernized account.</li>\n<li>Collaborate with development and product teams to review architecture decisions and recommend infrastructure improvements</li>\n<li>Drive cloud cost optimization efforts and capacity planning</li>\n<li>Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code, runbooks, and technical documentation</li>\n<li>Champion the adoption of AI tools — including Anthropic Claude and Microsoft Copilot — to enhance team productivity, automate routine tasks, and accelerate problem-solving</li>\n<li>Participate in on-call rotation and incident response for critical infrastructure issues</li>\n<li>Stay current with AWS services, security best practices, and emerging technologies relevant to public sector SaaS</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What You Bring</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Required Skills &amp; Experience</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>3+ years of hands-on AWS infrastructure experience, with demonstrated expertise in EC2, VPC, IAM, Route 53, and related core services</li>\n<li>Deep experience supporting enterprise .NET applications (ASPX, VB.NET) with Microsoft SQL Server on Windows Server in a production environment</li>\n<li>Proficiency with Route 53 and Cloudflare for DNS management, CDN configuration, and network routing</li>\n<li>Hands-on experience with Wiz for cloud security and compliance posture management</li>\n<li>Experience using AWS Patch Manager (or AWS Systems Manager) for patching Windows and Linux fleets at scale</li>\n<li>Strong Linux and Windows Server administration skills</li>\n<li>Working knowledge of SAP Business Objects in an enterprise environment</li>\n<li>Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage priorities without heavy oversight</li>\n<li>Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document infrastructure clearly for both technical and non-technical audiences</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Strongly Preferred</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>AWS certification(s): Solutions Architect – Professional or DevOps Engineer – Professional preferred</li>\n<li>Experience supporting SaaS products in regulated or public sector environments</li>\n<li>Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, AWS CloudFormation)</li>\n<li>Active enthusiasm for AI productivity tools, particularly Anthropic Claude and Microsoft Copilot, and a track record of finding creative ways to apply them in infrastructure and operations work</li>\n<li>Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Who You Are</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Self-directed.</span> You own your work end to end.
