    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 15px\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Wabanaki Public Health &amp; Wellness (WPHW) is growing, and we are excited to be adding new people to our team!</span>  If you value inclusivity, balance, and cultural centeredness and have a true passion for serving others, you may be a great fit for our team!  <br><br></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Position Summary</span>:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 15px\">This position supports the Wabanaki Center for Healing and Recovery’s Cedar Road program.  As a Detox Nurse you will provide compassionate and culturally sensitive care to clients experiencing symptoms related to substance use, including withdrawal symptoms, cravings, and other issues that may arise.  This is full time (36 hrs) position. </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Duties and Responsibilities</span>:</span></p>\n<ul></ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 15px\"><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d\">Complete nursing intake and assessment during admission, monitor client’s vital signs as ordered or per protocol.</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 15px\"><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d\">Process, manage, and implement orders from Licensed Independent Practitioners.</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\"><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d\">Dispense medications as ordered and per policy and procedures. Monitor and document all medication activity. Keep medication administration record (MAR) up to date, assuring accurate Medication Reconciliation and prescriptions for clients at discharge.</span></span><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"><br></span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 15px\"><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d\">Document all client interactions, interventions, and on-going counseling services in the electronic medical record.</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 15px\"><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d\">Order random urinalysis as per physician’s or licensed independent practitioners’ instructions.</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\"><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d\">Update medical and clinical team regularly regarding all clients seen and coordinates client care.</span></span><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"><br></span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 15px\"><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d\">Complete a physical assessment of all clients upon admission or as needed to assess skin integrity, markings, or signs and symptoms of disease or issues.</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 15px\"><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d\">Screen for psychoactive substance toxicity, intoxication, and withdrawal symptoms.</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 15px\"><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d\">Screen for danger to self or others.</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 15px\"><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d\">Advocate for and build meaningful relationships with clients and loved ones through safety intervention, emotional support and education.</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\"><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d\">Provide direction to the technicians on assigned shift.</span></span><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"><br></span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 15px\"><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d\">Maintain professional boundaries with clients and interact with them in an appropriate manner.</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 15px\"><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d\">Participate in team meetings.</span></span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 15px\"><span style=\"color: #222222\">Perform other duties as assigned.</span></span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Education and Experience Required</span>:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 15px\"> Must hold an unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Maine.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 15px\"> One (1) year of detox, emergency or med-surge nursing experience preferred.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul></ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 15px\">  </span></p>\n<ul></ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Skills and Qualifications Required</span>:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 15px\"> Working knowledge of the signs and symptoms of substance intoxication and withdrawal </span><br></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 15px\">Must be able to physically respond to individuals’ needs in the event of a crisis situation</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 15px\"> Willingness to travel with some overnights for trainings, meetings, gatherings, and events.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 15px\"> Valid State of Maine Driver’s License, insurable under the WPHW’s automobile insurance plan and reliable transportation.<br></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 15px\"><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d\">Knowledge of the Code of Ethics for nurses.</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 15px\"><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d\">Knowledge of the federal drug and alcohol confidentiality law (42 C.F.R.
