          "text": "<p>Makeup Artist position delivers professional makeup services to guests while ensuring a comfortable and relaxing spa experience. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices and procedures, and Nevada law.&#xa0;</p><p><strong>Role and Responsibilities: (Includes but is not limited to the following)</strong></p><ul><li>Provide spa guests with a comfortable and relaxing spa experience while ensuring the utmost safety for our guests.</li><li>Assess guest needs and inquire about contraindications (e.g., medications, allergies, high blood pressure, and pregnancy) before beginning service.</li><li>Maintain the highest level of guest service by providing guests with a broad understanding of current techniques and procedures. Must be qualified and able to perform all treatments offered.</li><li>Ensure uncompromising level of cleanliness of work area and/or treatment room at all times.</li><li>Promote and sell spa/salon services including retail offerings related to the Spa. (Retail sales goals may be required.) Informs facility management of any member, guest, or facility issues.</li><li>Is knowledgeable about the facility, the property and its amenities in order to effectively communicate with guests.</li><li>Reports any incidents or accidents to a member of the management team. Other duties as assigned.&#xa0;</li></ul><p><strong>Performance Requirements: (Knowledge, skills and abilities)</strong></p><ul><li>Social skills as demonstrated by the ability to effectively deal with internal/external guests, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to diffuse, collect accurate information and resolve problems and concerns.</li><li>Ability to effectively deal with customer complaints and concerns in a friendly and positive manner. This involves listening to the nature of the concern, demonstrating empathy with the customer and providing positive and proactive solutions.</li><li>Ability to effectively deal with internal/external customers, some of whom will require patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger. Collect accurate information and solve management concerns.</li><li>Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language clearly to ascertain and document important information, to follow written and/or verbal instructions and to provide clear direction and guidance. Ability to relate to all levels of management and employees in verbal/written form.</li><li>Listen and respond to guest inquiries using a positive, clear speaking voice. Answer questions and offer assistance giving accurate information regarding outlet hours, other hotel services, directions to local attractions or function rooms, car rentals, airline shuttle service, etc.</li><li>Remain calm and alert, especially during emergency situations and/or heavy hotel activity, serving as a role model for other employees. Resolve complications and complaints by conducting thorough research of the situation and&#xa0;the most effective solutions. Make decisions and take action based on previous experience &amp; judgment, sometimes revising procedures to accommodate unusual situations.&#xa0;&#xa0;&#xa0;&#xa0;&#xa0;&#xa0;&#xa0;&#xa0;&#xa0;&#xa0;&#xa0; ·</li><li>Sufficient manual dexterity of hand, wrist and arm in order to perform massage.</li><li>Understands that as a representative of the Spa they will maintain a healthy, fit appearance and a positive attitude.</li><li>Ability to walk/stand and work 100 percent of shift walking a maximum of two miles.</li><li>Check work area before, during and after shift for proper set-up, safety and cleanliness.</li><li>Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long periods of time..</li><li>Ability to lift, bend, stoop, and reach to perform services. &#xa0;Lifting a maximum of 50 pounds to a height of 4 feet on an intermittent basis.</li><li>Ability to maintain attendance in conformance with standards. Ability to maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance.</li></ul>",
