We are in search of like-minded individuals, who are pursuing a job of purpose that impacts the lives of patients.</p><h2><strong><u>Job Summary</u></strong></h2></td></tr></tbody></table><p style=\"margin-left:4.5pt;\" data-pasted=\"true\">We are seeking a dedicated, capable, and experienced board certified Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join the Pediatric Neurosurgery team at Goodman Campbell Brain and Spine, practicing at Peyton Manning Children&rsquo;s Hospital. The APP will collaborate with pediatric neurosurgeons to coordinate patient care across the spectrum during the patient&rsquo;s hospitalization, post-op period, and in the outpatient clinic. The APP will work closely with the surgeon to provide quality, efficient, continuous, and cost-effective care for the duration of the patient&rsquo;s treatment.</p><p style=\"margin-left:4.5pt;\">To be successful in this role, you should exhibit exceptional customer service abilities to align with Goodman Campbell&rsquo;s dedication to a positive patient experience. data-pasted=\"true\"><li style=\"list-style-type: none;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Take detailed patient medical histories&nbsp;</li><li style=\"text-align: left;\">Perform and record physical examinations&nbsp;</li><li>Diagnose and decide treatment of patients&nbsp;</li><li>Initiate therapy, prescribe medicine, give vaccinations&nbsp;</li><li>Order lab tests, x-rays, and other diagnostic studies&nbsp;</li><li>Counsel patients on preventive care and/or medical problems</li><li>Write appropriate admission orders (including nursing care, medication orders, laboratory and radiological examinations, and obtain consultations approved by the surgeon).</li><li>Review pertinent abnormal findings in the patient&#39;s history, physical examination, radiological and laboratory data with the surgeon, and obtain appropriate consultation, additional laboratory or radiological studies as needed, and initiate appropriate medical intervention.</li><li>Record in progress notes pertinent findings from history, physical examination, laboratory studies, and radiological examination.</li><li>Evaluate unstable patients and initiate emergency management.</li><li>Write appropriate postoperative orders including general and specific nursing care, medications, including controlled substances for analgesia and sedation, laboratory and radiological studies.</li><li>Attend the patient in the early postoperative period reviewing laboratory and radiological data and making appropriate interventions.</li><li>Initiate treatment of postoperative complications advising the attending surgeon of unexpected events, providing an accurate synopsis of events related to a major change in the patient&rsquo;s condition and describing corrective measures already taken.</li><li>Daily assessment of patients postoperative course, write note of patients progress in chart as it pertains to the supervising physician- and implement indicated therapy as determined by the supervising physician.</li><li>Complete discharge paper and summaries.</li><li>Communicates appropriately and timely with physicians regarding any patient care issues.</li><li>Communicates effectively and professionally with other service lines and staff members.</li><li>Conducts self in a professional manner at all times.</li><li>Responsible for professional growth and development, including regular attendance at available in-services, seminars, and other education offerings.&nbsp;</li><li>Complies with professional, regulatory, governmental and departmental standards</li><li>Contributes to the professional development of others by sharing knowledge and skills, providing and accepting feedback, and contributing to the education of staff and
