Radiologic technologists are medical personnel who perform imaging procedures for the diagnosis and treatment of patients in a professional manner.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This position is full time, non-exempt and benefits eligible. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Compensation is determined based on years of experience and departmental equity. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Assesses orders for accuracy and clarifies with provider prior to imaging, if necessary (correct CPT code, correct body part, correct side, correct views)</li>\n <li>Reviews images for diagnostic quality, which includes proper collimation, use of markers, and positioning accuracy</li>\n <li>Demonstrates age specific knowledge, skills, and abilities to make appropriate adjustments in the care of patients</li>\n <li>Practice appropriate radiation safety as designated in Federal and State Radiation Control Regulations.  Practices A.L.A.R.A at all times</li>\n <li>Observes established policies, safety, environmental, and infection control standards</li>\n <li>Documents consistently and accurately in EMR, PACS, and any other areas per facility requirements</li>\n <li>Ensures equipment is properly functioning and reports any potential problems or malfunctions to the appropriate contact(s)</li>\n <li>Maintains professional credentials as required by ARRT and/or state regulations</li>\n <li>Demonstrates competent technical skills in the use of imaging equipment, quality control and troubleshooting</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Note:  This is not an all-inclusive list of this job's responsibilities.  The incumbent may be requited to perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Diploma/GED, required</li>\n <li>Associate in Radiologic Technology, required</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Experience</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>One year pediatric and/or orthopedic radiology experience, preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Certification and Licensures</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Basic Life Support (BLS), required</li>\n <li>American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT), required</li>\n</ul>",
