The responsibilities will vary based on the current needs of the shelter.&nbsp;Under direction of the Animal Care Manager, provides for the constant cleanliness of cages, runs and shelter areas and the proper feeding and care of all shelter animals.&nbsp;</p>\r\n\r\n<p>Duties will include:</p>\r\n\r\n<p>&bull; To observe animal appearance and activity for general physical condition, noticeable signs of illness, disease, and discontent.</p>\r\n\r\n<p>&bull; To thoroughly clean and disinfect all shelter areas as often as necessary.</p>\r\n\r\n<p>&bull; To determine the type and amount of food animals receive.</p>\r\n\r\n<p>&bull; To take charge and/or handle animals as required and to restrain hard-to-control animals.</p>\r\n\r\n<p>&bull; To walk dogs several times a day to provide exercise and time for elimination of bowels and bladder.</p>\r\n\r\n<p>&bull; To perform needed cleaning and maintenance of all equipment and tools used in job assignments.</p>\r\n\r\n<p>&bull; Follow the shelter procedures.</p>\r\n\r\n<p>&bull; Unpacking, labeling and stocking of shelter supplies and donations</p>\r\n\r\n<p>&bull; Make sure animals are clean and smell fresh.</p>\r\n\r\n<p>&bull; Recognize and records any unusual condition or abnormal behavior of any shelter animal.</p>\r\n\r\n<p>&bull; Report signs of illness, disease, injury or unusual activity to technicians/veterinarians</p>\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n",
