This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring regular attendance at one of our <strong>South Florida</strong> offices.</p>\n<p><strong>GFT’s Water Resources Team</strong></p>\n<p>Joining the water resources team at GFT means contributing to innovative solutions for sustainable water management and infrastructure. Our team excels in dams and levees, advanced water and wastewater treatment, stormwater management, and conveyance, collection, and transmission. Explore some of our signature water resources and environmental projects here.  </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>What you’ll be challenged to do:</strong></p>\n<p>In this role you will use your technical and management abilities to plan, design and construct water/wastewater infrastructure in a dynamic team setting as well as to mentor staff. You will help guide our business development activities and provide project management leadership of integrated teams to satisfy client requirements, including scope, schedule, budget, and quality while increasing our backlog, project revenue and profitability with current and new clients.</p>\n<p>As a senior-level technical contributor, you’ll bring both your leadership skills and engineering acumen to a team that values quality, collaboration, and project delivery. You'll play a key role in advancing critical infrastructure and mentoring the next generation of engineers! </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> <strong>In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Coordinating, participating in, and leading project teams in the planning, design and construction administration of municipal and industrial water and wastewater infrastructure facilities in locations across the Southeast region</li>\n <li>Working collaboratively with engineering staff in a hands-on, delivery-focused environment including developing and implementing study and design standards for consultants to follow, leading progress meetings, preparing meeting agendas and minutes, tracking project schedules, and budgets</li>\n <li>Managing Water and Wastewater Treatment Facility Design, including basis of design reports, plans, specifications, calculations, cost estimates, condition assessments, and technical evaluations</li>\n <li>Regular communication and interaction with clients and regulating government agencies including presentations and project coordination</li>\n <li>Overseeing construction contract management and inspection services</li>\n <li>Supervising and mentoring junior and mid-level engineers</li>\n <li>Demonstrating professional technical writing and verbal skills</li>\n <li>Engaging within the water/wastewater industry</li>\n</ul>\n<h2></h2>\n<strong>What you will bring to our firm: </strong>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelors of Science degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (MS is preferred)</li>\n <li>15+ years of experience required in water/wastewater discipline, particularly as a water/wastewater engineer designing (study, plans and specifications) water and/or wastewater infrastructure (i.e. treatment and collection/distribution projects)</li>\n <li>Professional Engineer License (PE) in Florida</li>\n <li>Progressive experience in the evaluation, design, permitting and construction administration of water and wastewater treatment facilities, pumping stations, water storage and distribution facilities, and wastewater collection systems</li>\n <li>Demonstrated leadership experience managing integrated teams including budget and schedule monitoring and control responsibilities</li>\n <li>Experienced in client relations and business development</li>\n</ul>\n<strong>What we prefer you bring: </strong>\n<ul>\n <li>Master’s Degree is strongly preferred</li>\n <li>Experience with AutoCAD and/or BIM is preferred</li>\n <li>Leader and team player possessing strong planning and organizational skills</li>\n <li>Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to conduct effective client presentations and written report preparation.</li>\n</ul>\n<strong>Featured Benefits: </strong>• Hybrid (in-person and remote) work environment.• Comprehensive benefits package including wellness programs, parental leave, and pet insurance, in addition to medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance.• Tax-deferred 401(k) savings plan.• Competitive paid-time-off (PTO) accrual.• Tuition reimbursement for continued education.• Commitment to professional development, access to internal and external training programs, and support of active participation in professional organizations• Incentive compensation for eligible positions.\n<p> </p>\n<h2></h2>\n<p>At GFT, a privately held AEC firm, we innovate where transportation, water, power, and buildings converge.
