In this role you will ensure that assigned assembly functions are conducted in accordance with established policies and procedures and that quality standards are met or exceeded, and that related documentation is accurate and complete. Foster and promote continuous improvement and work in a positive work environment.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p></td></tr><tr><td style=\"width: 100%;\"><p>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS</p></td></tr><tr><td style=\"width: 100%;\"><p><strong>Welder 1 duties:</strong></p><ul><li>Responsible for assembly of finished goods. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</li><li>Will perform mounting of trays, shelves, tool boards and doors&nbsp;</li><li>Welders need to make clean lines and cuts when welding&nbsp;</li><li>Use disc grinder to smooth out, weld, or grind parts prior to welding. &nbsp;</li><li>Rotate to different workstations in order to achieve a balanced line flow&nbsp;</li><li>Operate manual and automated welding units and equipment by depositing metal from electrode to work piece and joins edges of work piece.&nbsp;</li><li>Maintain length of arc and speed of movement to form specified depth of fusion and bead.&nbsp;</li><li>Weld in flat and vertical planes (all position welding).&nbsp;</li><li>Examine weld for bead size and other specifications.&nbsp;</li><li>Position and clamp work pieces together or assemble them in a jig&nbsp;fixture.</li><li>Tack assemblies together/mig weld material together.</li></ul></td></tr><tr><td style=\"width: 100%;\"><p>SECONDARY JOB FUNCTIONS</p></td></tr><tr><td style=\"width: 100%;\"><ul><li>Complete Non-conformance using quality program for quality issues and deviations, and all purchasing, order processing, and engineering inaccuracies so corrective action can be taken&nbsp;</li><li>Utilize available data to continuously improve productivity, uptime and reliability&nbsp;</li><li>Serve as backup for other positions within the department.&nbsp;</li><li>Assist in training, organizing of other employees in work cell&nbsp;</li><li>Working knowledge of PPAP and other inspection processes&nbsp;</li><li>Other tasks as assigned.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p></td></tr><tr><td style=\"width: 100%;\"><p>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, &amp; ABILITIES</p></td></tr><tr><td style=\"width: 100%;\"><ul><li>Ability to efficiently function in fast-paced work environment&nbsp;</li><li>Computer skills</li><li>Must be able to interpret work orders, drawings, blueprints, production schedule&nbsp;</li><li>Qualified vertical, flat and horizontal position using electrode, MIG welding equipment&nbsp;</li><li>Basic knowledge in shop math, be able to convert decimals and fractions, measure and build to within specifications, check work for dimensional accuracy and correct as needed&nbsp;</li><li>Proficient knowledge to use various power and machine tools.
