We hope this inspires you to apply and begin living our IU Health Values – Purpose, Excellence, Compassion and Team – every day.&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>What You Will Do:</u></strong><span style=\"font-family:&quot;Arial&quot;,sans-serif;\"><strong><u> </u></strong></span>&nbsp;</p><ul style=\"list-style-type:disc;\"><li style=\"margin-bottom:0in;tab-stops:list .5in;\">Supervise high-level disinfection and endoscopy, collaborating with other supervisors within the team to fulfill tasks.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-bottom:0in;tab-stops:list .5in;\">Oversee the preparation, sterilization and distribution of equipment, supplies, instruments, and endoscopes needed for patient care.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-bottom:0in;tab-stops:list .5in;\">Support the goals associated with the broad spectrum of sterilization and the needs of all customers.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-bottom:0in;tab-stops:list .5in;\">Supervise and develop staff, ensures appropriate decontamination and sterilization processes, prepares reports, assists with the development of policies and procedures, and implements programs associated with these responsibilities.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-bottom:0in;tab-stops:list .5in;\">Ensure patient and team member safety and adherence to regulatory agency recommendations related to the sterile processing area.&nbsp;</li></ul><p style=\"margin-bottom:0in;\">&nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin-bottom:0in;\"><strong>Candidates will only be considered who have 2 active CRCST/CSPDT/CER national certificates and/or are a Certified Surgical Technologist. No provisional certifications will be accepted.</strong><span style=\"font-family:&quot;Arial&quot;,sans-serif;\"><strong> </strong></span>&nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin-bottom:0in;\">&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>What You Will Need:</u></strong><span style=\"font-family:&quot;Arial&quot;,sans-serif;\"><strong><u> </u></strong></span>&nbsp;<br>•&nbsp;High School Diploma or GED required.<br>•&nbsp;Associates Degree preferred.<br>•Requires one national certification (CRCST,CSPDT,CFER or CST) and a second national certification related to central service or sterile processing (Examples: CIS; CSIP; CFER; CST; CHMM; CHL).<br>•&nbsp;Requires 24 CE credits annually that focus on information and advancement related to the CS field and be of a technical nature.<br>•&nbsp;Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.<br>•&nbsp;Requires 5-7 years relevant experience.<br>•&nbsp;Leadership experience is preferred.<br>•&nbsp;Requires extensive knowledge or ability to learn skills associated with sterilization practices.<br>•&nbsp;Requires knowledge of surgical procedures, medical terminology and anatomy.<br>•&nbsp;Requires knowledge of State and Federal regulations and Professional Recommended Practices.<br>•&nbsp;Requires basic computer skills.</p>",
