Assist children with hygiene, diet, dressing and bathing. Assist with supervised visitations. Assist with routine appointments for children and transport as necessary. May assist in administration of medications to children. Complete child departure requirements.</li><li><strong>Child Behavior:</strong> Complete behavioral, CPS reports and all necessary documentation by the end of each shift. Utilize approved behavior management techniques to respond to behaviors.</li><li><strong>Safety, Policies and Procedures:</strong> Ensure safety standards and infection control policies are followed.</li><li><strong>Program Management:</strong> Facilitate structured programs, i.e., games, outdoor recreation, etc. Assist with daily, monthly and special event activities for children in shelter. Assist with training needs of staff, interns, and volunteers.</li><li><strong>Shelter Activities:</strong> May coordinate and facilitate shelter and non-shelter programs as assigned. Assist in keeping the shelter clean and orderly. Serve as back up for crisis telephone calls, drop-in counseling sessions, shelter intakes and departures.</li><li><strong>Professional Development:</strong> Complete required annual training. Maintain required certifications and proficiencies.
