Description

Description The Human Resources Specialist is responsible for supporting and administering key HR functions to ensure compliance, consistency, and efficiency across the organization. This role plays a critical part in maintaining company policies, supporting employees, and ensuring adherence to all applicable labor laws and regulations. The Human Resource Specialist's typical responsibilities include: Essential duties and Responsibilities: Creates and maintains department records ensuring compliance, accuracy, and confidentiality Administer and track Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and Life Policy cases, ensuring proper documentation and compliance Assisting the Administrative Controller with the process of recruitment Maintain and organize employee personnel files, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and confidentiality Maintain accurate and confidential employee records across multiple HR systems and software platforms Support and ensure compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) regulations, including assisting with investigations and documentation Supporting internal and external inquiries and requests related to the HR department Maintains compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations concerning employment Ensures compliance regarding all employment practices: selection processes, I-9 reporting, record keeping, EEOC compliance and reporting, and file management Develop and administer employee trainings to ensure annual compliance Annually review written Safety Programs, as well as trainings to ensure Safety compliance with OSHA, MSHA, and DOT regulations Administer and communicate employment policies, procedures, and programs Provide advice and counsel concerning all city, state, and federal compliance regulations Maintain records of all Safety Programs, meetings minutes and audit reports Conduct and document employee exit interviews, providing insights and recommendations to leadership Performs other duties as required and assigned
