Related activities include, but are not limited to, advising, serving on various committees, participating in recruiting and retention efforts, and participating in professional activities and organizations.&nbsp;This faculty position may require teaching assignments at one of the other campuses, (Senatobia or Oxford) with the primary office located at the Desoto campus.</p>\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS:</strong>&nbsp;</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Master’s Degree in Anatomy, Physiology, or Biology with a strong emphasis in Anatomy and Physiology or a closely related field; OR a Master’s degree and 18 graduate hours in Anatomy, Physiology, Biology, or a closely related field&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Community College teaching experience preferred</li>\n <li>Demonstrated experience teaching online</li>\n <li>Proficiency in using learning management systems (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard) and other educational technologies</li>\n <li>Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills</li>\n <li>Excellent interpersonal communication skills required</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<strong>REPORTS TO: &nbsp;</strong>District Director of Natural Science Instruction</p>\n<p>&nbsp;<strong>CONTRACT TERM:</strong> Nine (9) months&nbsp;</p>\n<p>&nbsp;<strong>HOURS:</strong> &nbsp; &nbsp;Typically, 8:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. (Monday-Friday), Dependent on the scheduling of labs and proctoring</p>\n<p>&nbsp;<strong>DUTIES AND&nbsp;RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p>\n<ol>\n <li>Teach a range of Anatomy and Physiology and Biology courses, potentially in various modalities (e.g. face-to-face, hybrid, online) and other courses as needed and/or qualified to teach&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Prepare, administer, and grade essays, tests, other assignments, and/or program assessment data&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Maintain a record of student attendance as required by the Mississippi Community College Board</li>\n <li>Submit grades, attendance, and outcomes according to the academic calendar</li>\n <li>Manage timely engagement, grading, and communication&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Participate in departmental meetings and committee assignments</li>\n <li>Maintain laboratory equipment, supplies, and safety protocols, which include cleaning and prepping labs</li>\n <li>Complete 15 hours of professional development each year</li>\n <li>Ability to travel between campus locations&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Establish effective relationships with college administration, faculty, staff, and students.</li>\n <li>Adhere to school policy as set in the Policy and Procedures Manual</li>\n <li>Perform other duties may be assigned by the District Director of Natural Science&nbsp;</li>\n</ol>\n<p><strong>APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:</strong></p>\n<p>Interested applicants should attach and submit the following:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Application at&nbsp;<a href=\"http://www.northwestms.edu/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">www.northwestms.edu</a></li>\n <li>Resume</li>\n <li>Official Transcripts</li>\n <li>Three (3) Professional References</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>",
