    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>You belong at Day &amp; Ross.</strong></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Parts Specialist&nbsp;</p><p>Full-Time&nbsp;</p><p>Brampton, ON (On-site)</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><span lang=\"EN-CA\">The Parts Specialist is responsible for controlling the inventory levels of parts within the Maintenance Department. This role is about providing excellent internal customer service through the collaboration with other members of the Maintenance Department to resolve inquiries and accurately process parts orders. This includes proactively monitoring inventory levels, ensuring parts inventory is adequately managed to efficiently meet the requirements of the Trailer Technicians.&nbsp;</span></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>How You'll Help:&nbsp;</p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Proactively control parts inventory levels by ensuring knowledge of parts and understanding of departmental requirements remain current.</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Work with technicians / corporate facility and use established procedures to ensure accurate and efficient ordering of parts and reduce delivery delays.&nbsp;</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Respond in a timely fashion to technicians’ requests and inquiries regarding parts and account information.</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Handle shipping &amp; receiving of service products and shipments.</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Process and deliver internal part requests.</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Perform cycle counts and stockroom inventory audits.&nbsp; Ensure counts and movement of parts are accurate.</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Stock and restock parts in stockroom and prepare inventory and reconciliation reports.</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Provide positive, effective and professional customer service and support through conversation in person and over the telephone.</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Participate in daily, weekly and monthly meetings to review work goals to exceed customer expectations.</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Carry out individual tasks and goals with clear directives and the boldness to ask questions when further direction is needed.</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Work positively and effectively with all team members locally and at corporate facility.</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Follow safe work practices and accident prevention procedures.</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Perform other duties as assigned by Maintenance Supervisor.</span></li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Your Skills &amp; Experience:</span></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Minimum of secondary education&nbsp;</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Training or instruction in mechanical maintenance or repair is preferred.</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\">A suitable combination of education and experience may also be considered.</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Minimum of one year of experience in mechanical shop, maintenance or operational environment, preferably in the transportation industry.</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Occupational Health &amp; Safety Training a strong asset.</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Communication skills – must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Computer skills – accuracy, MS products, web based programs.</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Collaboration skills - Must be a team player and a self-starter to carry out tasks and goals with clear directives and the boldness to ask questions when further direction.</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Able to work deadlines in high transactional, high speed environment.</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Ability to multi-task and prioritize work as required.</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Strong problem solving skills.</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Knowledge and understanding of safety requirements in a shop environment and ability to uphold a strong safety culture.</span></li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>To apply, visit our Careers page at&nbsp;<strong>dayross.com</strong>.<br><br>If you’re chosen for the role, you’ll be asked to provide reference and criminal background checks before employment.
