Our Whole School Teacher is a fully integrated member of the teaching team who becomes a familiar, trusted presence for children, families, and staff across all classrooms.</p><p>This role is especially well-suited to an educator who enjoys working with diverse age groups, values teamwork, and can adapt confidently to the changing needs of a preschool environment.</p><h2>Key Responsibilities</h2><h3>Classroom & Child Support</h3><ul><li>Provide support across all preschool classrooms throughout the day</li><li>Maintain continuity of care and classroom coverage during breaks, planning time, and staff absences</li><li>Build meaningful relationships with children, families, and staff across the school community</li><li>Recognize when a child may need additional emotional support and respond with patience and care</li><li>Use positive guidance and relationship-based approaches to support child development</li></ul><h3>Team Collaboration</h3><ul><li>Work collaboratively with lead teachers to support classroom goals and routines</li><li>Ask thoughtful questions and offer support in ways that feel collaborative and respectful</li><li>Adapt easily to different teaching styles, classroom needs, and age groups</li><li>Communicate clearly and professionally with teachers, families, and administrators</li><li>Participate actively in staff meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives</li></ul><h3>Classroom Environment & Organization</h3><ul><li>Help prepare classroom materials and learning environments</li><li>Support setup, cleanup, and classroom organization throughout the day</li><li>Maintain clean, safe, welcoming classroom spaces in accordance with licensing and health requirements</li><li>Assist children in caring for their classroom community and shared materials</li></ul><h2>Qualifications</h2><ul><li>Experience working with young children in a preschool, childcare, or early education setting is preferred</li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills</li><li>Calm, patient, and flexible approach to working with children and adults</li><li>Ability to take initiative</li><li>​​​​​​​Must meet California childcare licensing requirements, including required ECE units/Associate Teacher qualifications</li></ul><h2>Compensation & Benefits</h2><ul><li>$24–$26/hour</li><li>Full-time, year-round position</li><li>Health reimbursement benefit up to $450/month for eligible medical expenses</li><li>403(b) retirement plan</li><li>Paid vacation and sick time (approximately 12 PTO days annually)</li><li>Paid federal and Jewish holidays and up to two weeks of winter closure/reduced programming</li><li>Annual compensation review and potential salary increases</li><li>Childcare tuition support for staff families</li><li>Ongoing professional development and training opportunities</li><li>Monthly staff meetings and dedicated professional development days</li><li>Supportive leadership focused on reflective supervision, collaboration, and educator growth</li><li>Coffee, tea, and snacks are always available</li></ul>",
