Responsibilities As our Director of Data Engineering, you will: Leadership & Strategy: Define and drive the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the company’s data engineering team Collaborate with product, analytics, data science, and business teams to understand data needs and ensure implementation of scalable, reliable data services Team Management: Lead, mentor, and scale a team of Data, QA and Analytics engineers Foster a high-performance culture with a focus on innovation, quality, and continuous improvement Data Infrastructure and Platform Engineering: Design and implement scalable, reliable, and secure data pipelines and platforms (e.g., data lakes, lakehouses, warehouses, data streaming) Oversee the integration of structured and unstructured data from multiple sources, ensuring data quality, lineage, and governance Ensure high availability, performance, and cost-efficiency of data systems Compliance & Security: Work with security and compliance teams to define policies on access control and data privacy and implement controls for PCI Innovation & Optimization: Stay informed about emerging technologies in data engineering and apply them where applicable Continuously evaluate and improve platform scalability, performance, and developer experience These duties must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.
