We are looking for people who want to learn and grow within our Pipefitting Department as we continue to build the most advanced submarines.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Job Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Pipefitters fabricate and install the piping systems that will carry the ship's liquids and gasses at the various pressures</li>\n <li>Apply measurement, fit-up bending and installation skills and techniques to comply with tight tolerances</li>\n <li>Pipe fit-up may involve welded joints, silver brazed joints or mechanically fastened joints</li>\n <li>Able to work with very small tubing to very large diameter piping </li>\n <li>Systems include hydraulic, lube oil, and low pressure air, and low and high pressure steam, sea water, chilled water and potable water</li>\n <li>Groom systems to prepare for Company, Navy and Government inspections</li>\n <li>Use freeze seals of piping in operational mode to effect repairs</li>\n <li>Work conditions may include entry into restricted and confined spaces</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Benefits:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Medical, Dental, Vision</li>\n <li>401K Plan</li>\n <li>Paid Vacation and holidays</li>\n <li>Shift Premium</li>\n <li>Health and Wellness Programs including Onsite Wellness Facility, Pharmacy, and Physical Therapy</li>\n <li>Commuter/Van Services</li>\n <li>Tuition Reimbursement Program</li>\n <li>Safety Boot Reimbursement Program</li>\n <li>Hourly Rates from $31.61 - $41.14</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Diploma/GED or 2+ years of relevant technical experience</li>\n <li>5+ years of relevant Pipefitting or related Mechanical experience</li>\n <li>Must be available to train and work on any shift</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Completion of Vocational, Technical and/or Community Colleges or Apprentice program</li>\n <li>Military Shipbuilding, manufacturing or shipyard experience</li>\n <li>Successful completion the CT Department of Labor Eastern Workforce Investment Board (EWIB) Training Program</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Skills</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be able to interpret technical manuals, shipyard procedures, Blueprints, test documents, diagrams</li>\n <li>Must be able to work all shifts and in all environments as well as in Radiological areas of the boat</li>\n <li>Willing to accept Road Assignments</li>\n <li>Must be able to receive and Maintain Nuclear Qualifications</li>\n <li>Individuals will be required to possess their own basic hand tools</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Physical Qualifications</h2>Climbing, Color Vision, Crawling, Kneeling, Light Lifting, Medium Lifting, Pulling, Pushing, Reaching, Stooping, Twisting\n<h2>Environmental Attributes</h2>Cold, Fumes, Hot, Inside, Noise, Oily, Outside, Wet",
