    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Hourly Pay: Up To $52.98/hour</strong><strong>Up to $10,000 Sign-On Bonus + Relocation Assistance</strong></p>\n<p><strong><strong>4/10 Work Schedule with Three-Day Weekend (Monday–Thursday, Four 10-Hour Days)</strong> </strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Job Summary</strong></p>\n<p>Perform the approval for return to service after maintenance or modifications of an aircraft/engine/article in accordance with regulations, to include completion of FAA Form’s 8130-3 and 337’s when required along with logbook entries. Ensure aircraft or any component returned to service meet type design or properly altered state and in condition for safe flight.  Ensure aircraft airworthiness by maintaining safety conditions conforming to standards set by the FAA and company policy.  Verify all inspections performed comply with Manufacturer’s Instructions for Continued Airworthiness and Air Methods Repair Station Manual.  </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following: </strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform work order opening and closing tasks, preliminary inspections, hidden-damage inspections, statement of work review, and final inspections on civil aviation articles in accordance with the current maintenance data.  Enters the return to service / airworthiness release authorization into the aircraft / article’s permanent records (logbook) along with a list of the work performed.  Review completed production control work packages for completeness and proper signoff, prior to execution of an airworthiness release or issuance of a serviceable tag</li>\n <li>Research aircraft and engine maintenance log pages to ensure compliance with current regulations, manufacture’s programs, and the owner / operator’s (for 3rd party work in the future) policies and procedures.  Validate that any maintenance performed for 14 CFR Part 135 air carriers under a CAMP or AAIP program (to include RII inspections) in accordance with that carrier’s FAA approved inspection manual.  </li>\n <li>Inspect for airworthiness and quality of aircraft maintenance and alterations to include overseeing in process inspections, adjustments, repairs, or modifications made to aircraft components, sub-assemblies, and final product as well as issuing “OK to Close” for aircraft component parts.  Ensure all tasks completed adhere to the manufactures, company, and regulatory policy and procedures. Responsible to ensure that all work performed by all company technicians assigned to a work order (supervise maintenance), is performed to current applicable FAA standards and results in an product that is airworthy and safe for flight.</li>\n <li>Ability to read and interpret complicated drawings, specifications, purchase orders, statement of work and standards to determine quality status.  Must possess the skill and experience to use precision measuring instruments in a precise, accurate and repeatable manner.  </li>\n <li>Support production and management with failure and nonconforming material data recording and reporting.</li>\n <li>Identify and communicate continuous improvement opportunities for the quality program.</li>\n <li>Supervise the application for Airworthiness Certificates, Ferry Permits and Field Approvals with the FAA.  </li>\n <li>Supervise part incoming and receiving inspections.  </li>\n <li>Create and inspect aircraft equipment lists and weight and balance records.   </li>\n <li>Perform internal audits as specified in the FAA repair station quality control manual.  In addition, assist in performing AMC safety audits.  </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Additional Job Requirements</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Regular scheduled attendance</li>\n <li>Indicate the percentage of time spent traveling - 5%</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Supervisory Responsibilities</strong></p>\n<p>This position has no supervisory responsibilities.   </p>\n<p>       </p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p>\n<p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. In accordance with applicable laws, Air Methods will provide reasonable accommodations that do not create an undue burden so disabled employees may perform the essential functions of the position.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Education & Experience</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and three to five years’ technical rotor wing experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.</li>\n <li>Technical knowledge of the following aircraft (in order of importance): Bell 407 and Airbus AS350 / EC130 series, Airbus EC-135 Series, Airbus EC-145 Series, Bell 429, Bell 412 Series, Leonardo A-109 Series, Leonardo A119 Series, Textron King Air, and Sikorsky S60/S70 derivatives.   </li>\n <li>Technical knowledge of aircraft, appliances, and processes on the FAA part 145 Operations Specification</li>\n <li>Previous experiences in a FAA Certified Repair Station.</li>\n <li>Proficient with FAR’s and ability to perform complex research of Federal Regulations.</li>\n <li>Commitment to airworthiness and qualify of aircraft parts approved for return to service.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>     <strong><em>Experience with:</em></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bell 407</li>\n <li>Bell 429</li>\n <li>AS350</li>\n <li>EC130</li>\n <li>UH-60 Blackhawk (any variant)</li>\n</ul>\n<p>   <em> <strong>Must be proficient in:</strong></em></p>\n<ul>\n <li>FAA Form 337s</li>\n <li>Weight & Balance</li>\n <li>Maintenance due reports/status sheets</li>\n <li>Inspecting completed maintenance, structures, and avionics work</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Skills</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Individual diversity and adaptability.</li>\n <li>Excellent written and verbal communication</li>\n <li>Must be able to work autonomously and to prioritize tasks.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Computer Skills</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Proficient with Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Certificates, Licenses, Registrations</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>A&P Certificate required</li>\n <li>FAA Inspection Authorization (IA) preferred.  </li>\n <li>FCC GROL License preferred.</li>\n <li>Abaris composite training or equivalent preferred.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Air Methods is an EEO/AA employer.
