This is an exciting time to join our department as we prepare for the arrival of a <strong>new, high-performance MRI scanner scheduled for installation in early Summer 2026.</strong> The MRI Technologist operates the scanner to produce high-quality diagnostic images essential for accurate orthopedic diagnosis. This role requires a professional who can balance technical expertise with compassionate patient care, ensuring that every individual feels comfortable and safe throughout the imaging process.</p><p><strong>Job Responsibilities</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li><strong>Clinical Excellence:</strong> Perform diagnostic MRI procedures in accordance with established scope of practice and departmental standards.</li><li><strong>Patient Safety &amp; Screening:</strong> Conduct comprehensive safety screenings and patient interviews, ensuring all contraindications are identified prior to the exam.</li><li><strong>Workflow Integration:</strong> Assess pertinent clinical information and prepare patients for procedures by setting clear expectations and ensuring proper positioning.</li><li><strong>Operational Efficiency:</strong> Maintain high levels of productivity and adaptability to meet department needs and patient volumes.</li><li><strong>Documentation:</strong> Accurately utilize EMR and PACS systems for patient charting and study management.</li><li><strong>Safety Compliance:</strong> Adhere strictly to departmental policies, professional standards, and state/federal regulatory requirements, including modality-specific safety protocols.</li></ul><p><strong>Job Requirements</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li><strong>Education:</strong> Graduate of an education program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).</li><li><strong>Certification:</strong> Successful completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program with current ARRT(MR) certification.</li><li><strong>Licensure:</strong> Current New Hampshire State Medical Imaging License.</li><li><strong>Experience:</strong> Minimum of six months of supervised clinical MRI scanning experience. Orthopaedic experience is strongly preferred.</li><li><strong>Life Safety:</strong> Current CPR/BLS certification.</li><li><strong>Skills:</strong>Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.<ul type=\"circle\"><li>Strong knowledge of general anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.</li><li>Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to maintain composure during stressful situations.</li></ul></li></ul><p><strong>Physical Requirements</strong></p><p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li><strong>Lifting/Movement:</strong> Regularly lift, carry, or push/pull up to 50 lbs; frequently 10&ndash;25 lbs; and occasionally 50&ndash;100 lbs (with assistance).</li><li><strong>Mobility:</strong> Frequently required to walk, stand, bend, kneel, squat, and reach.</li><li><strong>Fine Motor Skills:</strong> Frequent use of fine motor skills and repetitive motion for equipment operation and documentation.</li><li><strong>Senses:</strong> Must possess acute hearing and speech for patient communication, as well as specific vision abilities including color vision, depth perception, and near/far peripheral vision.</li></ul></div></div>\n",
