What We Do
At Goldman Sachs, our Engineers don’t just make things – we make things possible. Change the world by connecting people and capital with ideas. Solve the most challenging and pressing engineering problems for our clients. Join our engineering teams that build massively scalable software and systems, architect low latency infrastructure solutions, proactively guard against cyber threats, and leverage machine learning alongside financial engineering to continuously turn data into action. Create new businesses, transform finance, and explore a world of opportunity at the speed of markets.
If you’re passionate about transforming how a global firm understands, governs, and activates its data, this role puts you right at the center of that mission. As a Data Quality Assurance Lead , you won’t just execute processes — you’ll build and lead a team that helps shape the future of data across the firm, driving initiatives by applying innovation that directly influences decisions, client experiences, and regulatory outcomes.
Who We Are
The Data Governance Office is a global, firmwide organization dedicated to ensuring that data is trusted, well-managed and strategically leveraged. We collaborate closely with divisional stakeholders to provide transparency into how data flows through the firm — from creation to aggregation and transformation to consumption — and how it is maintained at every stage through data quality controls. Our work enables the business to reduce duplication, respond faster to opportunities, elevate client experiences, and meet rapidly evolving regulatory expectations.
Who We Look For
Goldman Sachs Engineers are innovators and problem-solvers, building solutions in data management, cloud computing and artificial intelligence. We look for creative collaborators who evolve, adapt to change and thrive in a fast-paced global environment. The firm is investing significantly to enhance data quality across the firm, to enable increased data commercialization, improve client experience, and ensure high quality of data sent to other external and internal parties.
Your Impact
As a member of the team, you will be a key driver of our data quality assurance program, influencing senior stakeholders and shaping data quality strategies as part of the team’s initiatives. You will build and lead the end-to-end data testing function in Dallas, influence stakeholders across divisions and build scalable, automated approaches to testing.
You will deliver real impact by:
Championing firmwide data governance, partnering with Divisional Data Offices to promote the adoption of policies and standards
Leading transformative work on end-to-end data testing for key deliverables
Innovating with AI and automation to scale data testing capabilities and unlock new efficiencies
Defining and implementing end-to-end data testing metrics reporting
Building consensus across global teams, aligning with stakeholders on data quality priorities
Working with divisions to monitor progress, ensuring that program goals are delivered
How You Will Fulfill Your Potential
You won’t just execute — you’ll shape the future of how the firm governs its data. You will:
Build, and lead a team responsible for executing end-to-end testing to assess data accuracy of key deliverables
Lead working groups to improve end-to-end data testing processes
Establish reference materials and standards that scale consistently across the firm
Drive the execution of the data governance framework, policies, standards, and processes
Guide teams on implementing the governance requirements and best practices
Provide analytics that enable data consumers and producers to drive remediation efforts
