    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p></p>\n<p><strong>VintEdge Wine and Spirits</strong> is not your typical liquor store. </p>\n<p>Our vision is to provide exceptional customer service, selection and value to every customer that comes through our doors. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>We're currently seeking a <strong>Wine and Operations Manager </strong></p>\n<p>with min 3 years in food/beverage/hospitality and/or retail experience highly desirable</p>\n<p>Candidate will work full time at <strong>VintEdge Wine and Spirits</strong> in Somerville, NJ.  </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>https://www.vintedgewineandspirits.com</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide superior customer service by establishing a rapport with customers while offering informed sales recommendations</li>\n <li>Assist with purchasing process </li>\n <li>Assist in creation of content for website, POS, and email marketing emails.</li>\n <li>Maintain store visual presentation according to company merchandising guidelines</li>\n <li>Replenish and maintain inventory, including home spots, end caps, and platforms in preparation for product delivery</li>\n <li>Assist and/or conduct with complimentary in-store tastings and events.</li>\n <li>Inventory/accounts payable reconciliation</li>\n <li>Ownership of store cleanliness and assist in maintaining standards on the sales floor, stock room, kitchen, bathroom, etc</li>\n <li>Attend staff education sessions and on/offsite events as needed</li>\n <li>Perform cashier functions and adhere to minor policy while completing customer transactions</li>\n <li>Computer graphics/design for creation of flyers, announcements</li>\n <li>Office organization, filing, computer data entry (POS & website)</li>\n <li>Assist with back office operations</li>\n <li>Perform store opening and closing procedures</li>\n <li>Other special projects as needed</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Previous experience desired:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Min 3 years in food/beverage/hospitality and/or retail experience highly desirable</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to interact well with customers, and maintain strong customer relations.</li>\n <li>Excellent verbal and written communications skills required</li>\n <li>Prior experience in a team environment requiring professional and effective communication skills (team player)</li>\n <li>Handling multiple projects/tasks at a time and meeting deadlines</li>\n <li>POS (front and back of the house)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Specific qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to walk, bend down repeatedly, and be on their feet for 10-12 hours a day</li>\n <li>Ability to climb ladders and lift 50 lbs. overhead and repeatedly</li>\n <li>Nights and weekends availability required</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Education desired:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>-High school diploma or equivalent</p>\n<p>-WSET, Sommelier or other industry certification (a plus)</p>\n<p>    <strong>    </strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><em>All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status.</em></strong></p>\n<p> </p>",
