In this role, you will collaborate with experienced engineers and scientists to design, implement, and test software that interfaces closely with complex physical systems, optical instrumentation, and precision motion hardware.</p><p>This position is ideal for someone eager to apply analytical and scientific problem‑solving skills, learn the intricacies of high‑precision optical technologies, and take on meaningful technical challenges with real impact from day one.</p><p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</strong><strong>&nbsp;</strong><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Analyzes software requirements under guidance from senior engineers to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.</li><li>Contributes to software designs by implementing components that follow established architecture and design patterns.</li><li>Codes, debugs, and tests software features.</li><li>Documents code and development work to support maintainability and future enhancements.</li><li>Collaborates with team members to follow and continuously improve software engineering best practices.</li><li>Modifies or develops algorithms related to optical metrology, optics manufacturing, and optical data analysis</li><li>Consults with hardware engineers and other engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software, and operational and performance requirements of overall system.</li><li>Uses engineering reasoning and quantitative thinking to design software that behaves predictably and meets requirements</li><li>Supports definition of development milestones by estimating assigned tasks and communicating progress.</li><li>Participates in identifying and documenting risks related to quality, cost, or schedule</li><li>Assists in developing and executing software system test procedures.</li><li>Provides support for customers or field engineers regarding software issues.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Supervisory Responsibilities&nbsp;</strong></p><p>This job has no supervisory responsibilities.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications&nbsp;</strong></p><p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
