Position Title: Educational Assistant in the EKT Summer Program Reports To: SUN Site Manager Location: Cherry Park Elementary School Position Dates: August 10th-20th, Monday-Thursday 8:30am-1:30pm Position Overview: As an Educational Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting classroom activities, managing student behavior, and assisting teachers during the EKT Summer Program. This position involves creating a safe and engaging environment where children can learn and grow through various activities. Key Responsibilities: You will assist in the implementation of daily activities, providing support to students in both classroom and recreational settings. This includes helping to manage student behavior, ensuring a positive and inclusive atmosphere, and actively participating in program activities. Strong communication skills are essential for collaborating with teachers, the SUN Site Manager, and other staff members to address student needs and ensure program effectiveness. Your enthusiasm, patience, and ability to connect with children will be crucial to fostering a supportive learning environment. Values: We use creative and proactive problem solving to build and sustain dynamic community-based programs and quality services. We believe in the potential of families and individuals at all life stages and focus on prevention, wellness, and independence.
