At Elderwood, we foster a supportive environment where your voice matters, your leadership is valued, and your contributions make a real difference every day.</p>\n<h3>Competitive Compensation & Benefits</h3>\n<p>We offer a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package including:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance</li>\n <li>Generous PTO & Holiday Pay</li>\n <li>Retirement Savings Plans</li>\n <li>Tuition Assistance & Professional Development</li>\n <li>Employee Assistance Programs</li>\n <li>Leadership Support & Mentorship Opportunities</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON - RN):</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Clinical leader supporting the Director of Nursing daily oversight of clinical care</li>\n <li>Monitor staff clinical skills and hold staff accountable to given rules & regulations of the facility</li>\n <li>Communicate consistently with Director of Nursing to discuss current issues, recommendations for improvement and updates on ongoing issues</li>\n <li>Assist Director of Nursing with regular staff meetings</li>\n <li>Supervise/ assess staff competencies and give real time feedback to employees</li>\n <li>Provide  staff education, facilitate continuing education and yearly educational requirements</li>\n <li>Execute and analyze nursing audits and make recommendations for improvement</li>\n <li>Verify that staff are following individual plans of care and ISP’s for each resident </li>\n <li>Complete risk assessments and investigate any unusual occurrences or clinical incidents</li>\n <li>Prepare schedules for the facility</li>\n <li>Work in collaboration with HR in the recruitment of new staff</li>\n <li>Monitor new employee (s) education throughout their 90 day evaluation period</li>\n <li>Address any complaints made by family members or members of the care team</li>\n <li>Responsible for notification to DHS if child abuse suspected in accordance with Child Protective Services Law (CPSL) policies when Director of Nursing not available</li>\n <li>Remain knowledgeable of PA code chapters 3800 and 6400 regulating group homes and residential facilities</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>From</h2>\n<h2>Up to</h2>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON - RN):</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Registered nurse (RN) with a valid PA nursing license, BSN required</li>\n <li>Proven work experience as a nursing leader and educator</li>\n <li>Minimum of three years ’ nursing experience, pediatrics preferred</li>\n <li>BLS required, PALS or ENPC preferred</li>\n <li>Experience with performance improvement, infection control and regulatory processes</li>\n <li>Knowledge of chronic or acutely ill pediatric patient population and their cognitive and developmental needs</li>\n <li>Team management skills</li>\n <li>Excellent organizational and problem solving skills</li>\n <li>Well-developed verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills</li>\n <li>Recognized as a mature leader with the ability to react quickly and calmly in emergency situations</li>\n <li>This position requires regular interaction with residents, families, coworkers, visitors, and supervisors.
