Component Operator, East Providence, RI
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Component Operator will be responsible for running a mechanical press to process raw materials into sub-components.
Expected Hours: Full-time Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the manufacturing of capacitor components. Safely operate production machinery and equipment including press machines according to established procedures. Read and follow drawings, blueprints, specifications, etc. Load materials and ensure proper alignment and positioning prior to machining. Adjust parameters to meet product specifications. Perform in-process quality checks, including but not limited to measuring thickness, weight, and surface quality. Handle fragile materials with care to avoid contamination or damage. Clean and maintain machinery and work area to comply with cleanliness and safety standards. Identify and report equipment malfunctions or material inconsistencies to supervisors, Quality or Engineering. Work closely with Production Supervisor, technicians, operators, Engineering, and Quality teams to ensure work is completed to quality standards, following written procedures, and prioritized based on customer demand. Use basic computer skills to navigate and input data into production systems to track progress, document results, and communicate effectively with the team. Operate measurement devices such as calipers and gauges to measure products and ensure they meet company standards. Maintain a safe working environment by following company and industry procedures and standards. Additional duties as assigned
