The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise in roadway and transit corridor design, excellent communication, and proven experience delivering detailed engineering projects. This position is primarily focused on the&nbsp;<strong>design, development, and delivery</strong>&nbsp;of transportation infrastructure, working closely with multi-disciplinary teams to create innovative, sustainable mobility solutions.</p>\n<p><strong>Role accountabilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Lead and deliver detailed design</strong>&nbsp;for transportation infrastructure projects, including municipal roads, highways, LRT/BRT corridors, and active transportation facilities.</li>\n <li>Develop&nbsp;<strong>engineering drawings and models</strong>&nbsp;using MicroStation, OpenRoads, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.</li>\n <li>Prepare and review&nbsp;<strong>design documents</strong>, construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for roadways, intersections, and transit facilities.</li>\n <li>Conduct&nbsp;<strong>road safety and traffic operations analysis</strong>&nbsp;to inform design decisions (not planning studies).</li>\n <li>Coordinate and integrate&nbsp;<strong>utility, drainage, and grading designs</strong>&nbsp;in collaboration with other engineering disciplines.</li>\n <li>Ensure all designs are compliant with applicable&nbsp;<strong>standards and guidelines</strong>&nbsp;(e.g., TAC, Ontario Traffic Manuals, MTO requirements).</li>\n <li>Support the preparation of&nbsp;<strong>tender packages</strong>&nbsp;and respond to contractor inquiries during construction.</li>\n <li>Perform&nbsp;<strong>quality checks</strong>&nbsp;for technical accuracy and completeness prior to submittal.</li>\n <li>Mentor junior staff in design tasks and technical best practices.</li>\n <li>Maintain effective communication with clients, attend design meetings, and deliver technical presentations if required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications &amp; Experience:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering.</li>\n <li>Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with PEO.</li>\n <li>4-6 years of direct experience in&nbsp;<strong>transportation design</strong>: municipal roads, highways, LRT/BRT, intersection improvements, and active transportation infrastructure.</li>\n <li>Proficient in&nbsp;<strong>MicroStation, OpenRoads, AutoCAD, Civil 3D</strong>.</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of specialized software (e.g., Synchro, AutoTurn) to support design tasks.</li>\n <li>Strong understanding of relevant technical standards, including TAC Geometric Design Guide, Ontario Traffic Manuals, and the Ontario Highway Traffic Act.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to manage multiple design tasks, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.</li>\n <li>Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Why Arcadis?</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">We can only achieve our goals when everyone is empowered to be their best.
