Apply now and energize your career with a true leader in the global energy transformation.</p><p></p><p><b>Compliance &amp; Modeling Engineer Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li><p>Lead Transmission compliance related activities for AES utilities, including but not limited to FAC-001, FAC-002, FAC-008, MOD-32, and other applicable NERC/FERC/PJM/MISO activities.</p></li><li><p>Manage model development, maintenance and validation practices for internal Transmission Planning models</p></li><li><p>Ensuring the company&#39;s technical compliance with applicable laws and regulations.</p></li><li><p>Instituting best-practice procedures for compliance and risk mitigation.</p></li><li><p>Developing strategies and implementation plans for compliance-related matters.</p></li><li><p>Explaining and defining compliance protocols and measures to collaborators and relevant authorities.</p></li><li><p>Advising management on compliance-related matters.</p></li><li><p>Checking the status of various business operations to ensure compliance with regulations.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Compliance Engineer Requirements:</b></p><ul><li><p>Bachelor&#39;s degree or equivalent experience in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or similar.</p></li><li><p>A minimum of 5 years&#39; experience working in the Electric Utility industry</p></li><li><p>Problem-solving abilities are essential.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Highly Desired Skills:</b></p><ul><li><p>Proficiency in report writing, analysis, and compliance procedures.</p></li><li><p>Detailed understanding of regulatory frameworks (NERC, FERC, PJM/MISO).</p></li><li><p>Experience with process analysis.</p></li><li><p>The ability to communicate complex ideas verbally and in writing.</p></li><li><p>Proven technical knowledge and understanding of Transmission grid</p></li><li><p>Proficiency with PSSE, TARA or similar software</p></li></ul><p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p><p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p>AES is an Equal Opportunity Employer who is committed to building strength and delivering long-term sustainability through diversity and inclusion.
