At this position level projects are typically of moderate to high complexity, risk and exposure.</span><br><span>&nbsp;</span></p>\n</div>\n<div style=\"font-style:normal; font-weight:400; margin:0px; padding:0px\">\n <p><span><strong>KEY DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES&nbsp;</strong></span><span>&nbsp;</span></p>\n <p>Construction Project Management:</p>\n <ul>\n  <li>Recognized as an expert in the profession.</li>\n  <li>Plans and oversees the end-to-end delivery of assigned projects.</li>\n  <li>In collaboration with project team members, defines project scope, deliverables and requirements and delegates them while remaining accountable to leadership and project stakeholders.</li>\n  <li>Develops and implements project plans.</li>\n  <li>Determines resource and budget requirements, cost estimates, and timelines.</li>\n  <li>Identifies project risks and develops and implements mitigation and contingency plans.</li>\n  <li>Monitors project delivery against timelines and ensures timely completion.</li>\n  <li>Oversees the activities of project team members and monitors project task completion.</li>\n  <li>Communicates project status to relevant concerned parties.</li>\n  <li>Ensures projects are delivered on time, within scope, budget and requirements, and complies with all regulatory, environmental and health and safety requirements.</li>\n  <li>Develops and maintains effective relationships with clients.</li>\n  <li>Responsible for resolving issues, managing client expectations, and ensuring client satisfaction. Leads, understands, develops and analyzes project schedules on large and complex projects.</li>\n  <li>Oversees schedule troubleshooting for project team members.</li>\n  <li>Leads the overall design effort, manages design-coordinators on Design-Build jobs, oversees project control processes.</li>\n  <li>Leads the project health and safety process, looks for opportunities for improvement, challenges the status quo.</li>\n  <li>Leads and is accountable for the project quality program.</li>\n  <li>Leads subcontractor selection, qualification and negotiations for complex projects.</li>\n  <li>Review and understand all components of the contract documents, negotiates project contracts and change orders.</li>\n  <li>Leads and monitors risk management for own scope, and mentors and coaches project team on risk mitigation strategies.</li>\n  <li>Capable of leading the estimate and proposal process.</li>\n  <li>Guided by department policies and strategic business plans and drives results at the project level.</li>\n </ul>\n</div>\n<div style=\"font-style:normal; font-weight:400; margin:0px; padding:0px\">\n <p><span>&nbsp;</span></p>\n</div>\n<div style=\"font-style:normal; font-weight:400; margin:0px; padding:0px\">\n <p><span><strong>KNOWLEDGE &amp; SKILLS</strong></span><span>&nbsp;</span></p>\n <ul>\n  <li>Community college diploma in architectural technology, construction technology, engineering technology or equivalent experience.</li>\n  <li>10 + years of construction project management work experience.</li>\n  <li>Project management – proven ability and experience in delivering projects on-time, on-budget, within specifications and in-compliant with all requirements including but not limited to regulatory, environmental, health, and safety requirements.</li>\n  <li>Project Budget management – proven ability and experience in developing and managing budgets.</li>\n  <li>Project risk mitigation and management – proven ability and experience in mitigating and managing project risks.</li>\n  <li>Communication – strong communication, influence, persuasion, and negotiation skills.</li>\n  <li>Relationship building – proven ability and experience in building and maintaining effective relationships.</li>\n  <li>Client management – proven ability and experience in managing client relationships and expectations.</li>\n  <li>Client service orientation – strong client service orientation.</li>\n  <li>Project team leadership – proven ability and experience in project team leadership.</li>\n  <li>Vendor management – proven ability and experience in managing vendor performance.</li>\n  <li>Quality – possesses a continuous improvement and quality mindset along with a desire to continuously seek and incorporate best practices and technologies in order to optimize program delivery and deliver value to the client.</li>\n  <li>Computer proficiency – proficient in and experience with MS Office suite of applications along with proven ability to quickly learn new applications.</li>\n </ul>\n <p>&nbsp;</p>\n <p>One or more of the following would be considered an asset:</p>\n <ul>\n  <li>Project Management Institute Accreditation or in progress.</li>\n  <li>LEED certification or in progress.</li>\n  <li>Engineer in training.</li>\n  <li>Valid Driver’s License.</li>\n </ul>\n <p>&nbsp;</p>\n <p><span>This is a regular, full-time position with a salary range of $96,322 - $120,402 per annum.
