Description
Blaze is looking to add a Mortgage Underwriter Assistant to its Mortgage team. This position provides support to Blaze Mortgage Underwriters by analyzing and evaluating loan documentation, completing income calculations, and ensuring mortgage files meet company and regulatory guidelines.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Act as a resource for mortgage underwriting function as needed.
Review loan files for completeness and accuracy prior to underwriting. Assist underwriters in clearing conditions and preparing files for final approval/closing. Assist the processing and sales team by reviewing UW Requests for income and/or scenario reviews. Be a liaison between processing and the UW Team. Assist closing department with post approval/closing updates and/or changes. Other Duties
Comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control Exhibit Blaze’s Core Value’s: Better Lives, Thoughtfully Compassionate, Minnesota’s Best, and Give Back Regular and predictable attendance Perform other duties as assigned to support effective department operation.
