You’ll work with a high degree of independence, contribute to IT planning and budgeting, and collaborate across project teams to drive innovation and operational excellence.</p>\n <p>If you enjoy solving complex technical challenges, shaping database strategy, and supporting systems that power essential business functions, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact.</p>\n <p><b>What You’ll Do</b><br>\n   • Ensure the smooth, secure, and reliable operation of SQL Server databases and application environments<br>\n   • Perform performance tuning, security monitoring, patching, and advanced troubleshooting<br>\n   • Track and enhance the health and availability of databases—recommending improvements and optimization strategies<br>\n   • Document support activities in alignment with IT procedures and escalate complex issues when needed<br>\n   • Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade server operating systems, web servers, and database platforms<br>\n   • Partner with IT Software Engineers to resolve server, application, and desktop‑related issues<br>\n   • Research new tools, technologies, and standards to continually advance our database and application ecosystem<br>\n   • Analyze utilization and capacity metrics to support long‑term planning and growth<br>\n   • Provide hands‑on database support for classified networks<br>\n   • Support ongoing cybersecurity compliance efforts, including NIST, NRC, COMSEC, and DOE requirements</p>\n <p><b>What You Bring</b><br>\n   • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related technical field—or equivalent experience<br>\n   • 5+ years of experience with document management applications and SQL Server databases<br>\n   • Strong working knowledge of:<br>\n   – Microsoft operating systems and hardware platforms<br>\n   – M365 environments<br>\n   – Relational database concepts<br>\n   – SQL languages: DDL, DML, DQL, DCL, and TCL<br>\n   • Direct experience with:<br>\n   – SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)<br>\n   – Database backups, restores, and T‑SQL<br>\n   – Creating SQL Server login accounts<br>\n   – Building SQL Agent jobs<br>\n   – Writing SQL queries, scripts, functions, and stored procedures<br>\n   – Configuring Database Mail<br>\n   – Using SQLCMD<br>\n   • Bonus skills (not required):<br>\n   – PowerShell<br>\n   – Python</p>\n <p><b>Why This Role Matters</b><br>\n   Your work will directly support critical systems and secure environments, helping ensure that our operations remain reliable, compliant, and ready for the future.
