About the Bermuda Health Council The Bermuda Health Council is a statutory authority established under the Bermuda Health Council Act 2004, with a mission to regulate, coordinate, and enhance the delivery of health services in Bermuda. Guided by its vision of achieving a quality, equitable, and sustainable health system for the island, the Council works across the health sector to monitor system performance, inform policy development, and support improvements. Key focus areas include improving access to care, supporting financial sustainability, and advancing better population health outcomes. Every project undertaken at the Bermuda Health Council contributes to strengthening Bermuda’s health system. Our work supports health policy, research, and initiatives that influence how healthcare services are delivered, financed, and experienced across the island. In this role, you will contribute research, analysis and coordination that help inform decisions aimed at improving access to care, strengthening sustainability, and advancing better health outcomes for Bermuda. Role Overview The Project Associate provides high-level technical and administrative support for projects, working closely with project leads and team members to support project planning, research, analysis, and reporting. The role contributes to project development and implementation, process refinement, and the communication of findings. The Project Associate may also lead specific project components, including preparing reports, presenting findings to stakeholders, and producing guidance materials. Key Project Areas Writing Reports Produce reports on topics such as chronic kidney disease, long-term care, overseas care, health expenditure, and health system trends to support informed decision-making. Writing Guides Develop informative guides including telehealth guidelines and Standards of Practice recommendations. Data Analytics Collect and analyze data through surveys, stakeholder engagement, and other sources to support evidence-based policy development. Research Undertake research activities such as Health Technology Assessments and programme-related studies to enhance healthcare management. Legislative Enhancement Support monitoring and evaluation of regulation-related projects and assist with the enhancement of health legislation. Responsibilities Assist the Project Manager with project planning and organization of project tasks Meet regularly with the Project Manager to review progress and discuss next steps Coordinate meetings with project teams and stakeholders Maintain project documentation and information records Identify and propose strategies to manage project-related risks Monitor deadlines and report potential delays Lead skill-specific project components including presenting findings and preparing reports Ensure project compliance with relevant legislation Coordinate committees and public health initiatives Cultivate and maintain stakeholder relationships Manage tasks in accordance with established procedures and propose enhancements through the appropriate channels Contribute analytical insights and identify opportunities to strengthen project processes and outcomes Perform additional duties as directed by the CEO or designate What Success Looks Like in This Role Successful Project Associates at the Bermuda Health Council are curious, analytical, and proactive contributors who take pride in producing thoughtful work that supports informed decision-making.
